  1. The official name for this cruiser is.... Well, I've decided it's not a cruiser at all since it's not armed. I am therefore classifying it as a Combat Command Ship. So, without further ado, the name is... Python-class Combat Command Ship However, because it already carries so many Kerbals, I decided to make another version that carries even more. I give you... Argo-class Troop Transport Vessel it looks relatively similar to the Python from the outside... ...but the inside is filled with crew compartments. Thank you to Kerdinand and Warpedone for the winning suggestions(+rep), as well as everyone else that suggested a name! If you have more warship name ideas, or didn't get to suggest one for this ship, hold on to them. I might need them soon... GATOR
  2. nice! the new parts are perfect for this!
  3. If you have any name suggestions, get them in soon! I'll be selecting one in a few hours
  4. I think you're really going to like the ship I'm finishing up now...
  5. Ooooh, I see some tasties locked and loaded on that bad boy:D I like where your head's at! Hmmm, I never thought of naming it after a Kerbal. I'll have to see if any of the crew have cool names! Speaking of crew, I forgot to mention that this ship can set out with a crew of 82, and has a max capacity of 102 Kerbals. Anyway, keep the names coming! I'll pick one tonight or tomorrow
  6. That was actually the first thing that came to mind when I built it! It does look like a "Dreadnought", doesn't it? The only reason I don't want to use this name is because it's "traditionally" used to label battleships or large capital ships. Because this is neither, I'd rather save the name for something more fitting I really like this suggestion! Its my favorite so far. The download link is now in the original post. Enjoy! I like all of the suggestions so far, even the goofy ones! Keep 'em coming, and I'll pick one this weekend.
  7. Hey guys/gals, It's been a while since I posted anything on here, but I figured I'd share something I made with the parts in the new update. So without further ado, I present to you... I have no idea what to call it, besides SPACE CRUISER! Enjoy! Hangar door open from outside Hangar doors open from inside The CIC Attention on deck! Engine Assembly Part count: 355 w/ launch engines ; 251 once in orbit The goal of this project was to make an epic-looking warship-ish space cruiser without accumulating a massive part count. The internal space is divided into two parts: the CIC (Combat Information Center) and the hangar. I didn't know what to do with the hangar. It has plenty of room to create more "rooms" or levels, or to actually use it as a hangar, and store small ships inside. Let me know what you think! If anyone has suggestions for a name/designation, let me know in the comments below! For more pictures, and to see how it gets into space, check out the album below: Yes, I used infinite fuel. No cheats other than that. 100% stock. DOWNLOAD
  8. That's one hell of a replica! Great work! I really like the integration of the bomb bays
  9. I love innovative ideas like this! It's a nice break from all the boring ol' rockets:wink: Keep it up!
  10. Hello everyone! I was bored, so I made this. It's a submarine. I use it to explore the deep dark depths of Kerbin's oceans! Here, I'm over 700m deep. I used infinite fuel (it would be impossible otherwise). Let me know what you think! GATOR
  11. They're a little rough getting started, but once they get turning, they're pretty smooth. I didn't notice any vibrations or ill effects. Here you go.
  12. Dear sgt_flyer, You, sir, are a genius. I have tried many times to crack the code to horizontal prop engines (had no trouble building a stock helicopter w/ vertical shaft), but have failed again and again at building a horizontal rotating shaft. Your idea of using the inclined adapter surface to stabilize in two dimensions is brilliant. And I didn't even know you could trim until you shared this. Again, brilliant! Your innovativeness has unlocked a whole new realm of possible aircraft, and for that, I thank you! So without further ado, I modified your engine design a bit, and built a B-25ish aircraft!
  13. Thank you, it sure causes the part count to skyrocket though!
  14. Kudos to you for pure inventiveness!
  15. You made a Corsair!!!!!! The other planes are cool, but that Corsair...
  16. Neat aircraft, I especially love the P-40N! The details and the paint job are on point!
  17. 942 parts w/ wheel assembly 875 parts once underway on the deep blue sea
  18. Thanks everybody! I'm glad y'all like it, I sure had fun building it! With the wheels attached (used to get it to the water), it's near 1000. I think. It's enough to make my puny MacBook Pro nearly have a seizure. I'll give you an exact number when I get home this evening. Besides that monstrosity that Roflcopterkklol slammed into my ship at 130m/s? Nope. No krackens, no sea monsters, no mermaids, nothing. Not even a fish. In fact, Kerbin's seas seem to be pretty lifeless! Beautiful! Of course, but, you see, with KSP's current wind physics, I found that having them the same height allowed my sails to catch more of the south-easterly breeze, enhancing my vessel's ability to tack into a strong gale AAARRGH! What are ye doing to me ship?!?! But for real, that is awesome! I appreciate you taking time out of your day to test the durability of my boat (I'm actually quite impressed with it's resilience!). What a good way to annihilate two gorgeous creations!
  19. Ahoy ye land-lubbers! This be my ship, the K.S.S. Kraken, and I be her captain! With a top speed of 4m/s, she be slow, aye! But she sure be a beauty! Me crew sleep here in these bunk rooms (there be two) and I sleep here, in me state room! I plot me course around the shoals and reefs here in me map room Here be the cargo hold (no, that be not jet fuel and batteries!) I start my day by stretchin' me legs amid-decks then I head to the bow to stare at the briny deep! At nights, I sing hearty sea shanties with me crew! Ye can purchase me ship from the dockyards at: https://www.dropbox.com/s/320j7k8mdpspk4h/K_S_S_%20Kraken.craft?dl=0 Fair winds to ye! GATOR
  20. That is one beautiful replica! I can tell you spent a lot of time getting those aesthetics perfect. Amazing job, keep it up!
  21. Thank you everybody! I'm glad y'all like it!
  22. This might just be the coolest thing I've ever seen done with KSP. I wish I had more rep to give you
