Ok quick update, 1.5.x is dead in the water in terms of releases. We will NOT be releasing any of the RO related mods for that if they haven't been done already. We have a current open PR for 1.4.5 which will be releasing soon. It is currently waiting on 3 mod updates. Two of those mods will be done fairly quickly, the third is being debated what to do with it right now. This should all hopefully be wrapped up soon in regards to that release. For 1.6.x, we will be moving on to that immediately after 1.4.5. I will personally update all of the RO related mods that I have access to for 1.6.x and I'll push the mod authors of the other mods to get their stuff updated for it as well. This should ensure only the REQUIRED mods as set in this thread or CKAN are updated. I cannot and will not guarantee all of the "recommended" or "suggested" mods are updated. There are far too many to deal with and too many mod authors who have vanished or have changed hands. EDIT: On a side note we will not be supporting the DLC content at all. I don't have it, nobody on the team has it as far as I'm aware and all of the parts it adds are copies of already existing mods with much higher fidelity models. Nobody wants to buy the DLC and then do the work to add support for parts they won't be using and I don't want to do that either. That won't stop us from adding support if someone who DOES have the parts and wants to make PR for them though submits something. Just be aware that if that happens that person will be expected to keep the files up to date and in working order or they will be removed in future releases if they are causing problems.- 2,205 replies

What does your ability to fly a rocket or set up maneuvers have to do with my mod at all? I just provide the probe model file with the IRL config values, it's not my responsibility to make sure you can set up the maneuvers or fly it correctly... -

Just a quick update note for everyone. I know I said I wasn't planning on making a 1.4.x release but since 1.5.x dependencies are still not finished and the release itself has many issues I was convinced by the rest of the team to just go ahead and make a 1.4.x release as everything for that is currently ready. So some updates will be made on github shortly(maybe) and once all the testing and such is done for that it will be released. After that we will either then totally focus on 1.5.x or skip it for 1.6(which i hear is coming out soonish?).- 2,205 replies

There was and never will be a release for 1.4.x, currently there is an in progress update for 1.5.x on github. It's being worked on by several people and hopefully will release this year.- 2,205 replies

As I've posted many many many times before here, I am NOT UPDATING RO until there is an OFFICIAL far release, not some random recompile, not some random fork by some random person. Either ferram needs to update it or someone with direct permission from him needs to start their own thread, make their own fork and redirect all of the relevant sources on ckan to the new fork. Until that happens RO is not going to be updated to anything past 1.3.1. Though I would like to point out, the RO.dll has only 2 classes in it, both classes are related to the command pod com mover for skip reentries. This is not needed for RO to function so you don't even need the dll to use ro it should be compatible with any ksp version. Also, the 1.3.1 dll could possibly work just fine in 1.4.x or 1.5.x seeing as how nothing related to the game code has changed that would affect what's in it. So in short no we aren't putting that RO won't be updated in the OP as that's not true.- 2,205 replies

It doesn't need to be official from ferram, but it needs to be it's own official thread with it's own github release and ckan support. I'm not basing a RO release on some random persons dll compile posted in the mess of the main thread.- 2,205 replies

I get complaints about them a lot since it's hard to tell how to place them. I've thought about adding a small red arrow or mark to them to show how to orient it but it would look ugly and unrealistic so I decided not to. Just assume all verniers from all of my packs only rotate on 1 axis(as pretty much all verniers do). This means they need to be placed in pairs at 90 degree rotations.

Every "issue" listed here except the last one has absolutely nothing to do with RO at all and can't possibly be caused by any direct RO related mods either so this is definitely not to right place to get help for that. As for the last thing, if the part is not showing in the VAB at all(not even as non RO) and you aren't getting any mm errors during game load, then this is not a Ro issue either but rather an issue with the part itself or how you installed it.- 2,205 replies

it's a texture/normal map bug, the dog is really low fidelity and an afterthought in the model -

it allows the chute to look like it's attached to the probe, otherwise it looks like it is floating above the mesh instead of connected -
RSS is updated and RO can't be updated until FAR is, you'll need to wait.
