I have always loved classical music and this is one of my favorites. It is really moving. Plus the video is very cool, too.

.90 Upgrades bug
Dartguy replied to hippieheadshot's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
I think this is a known bug in 64-bit KSP. I have the same thing. I also have a question: since I have spent some time in this install, does anyone know how to upgrade the buildings in the file structure, because I cannot upgrade them, but can only have 2 contracts and no EVA, etc.? Thanks -
Ways to convince people that the Moon landings were real
Dartguy replied to SmartS=true's topic in The Lounge
I saw a video interview with Neil D Tyson. He made a very good point: he said that it would have been much harder for us to fake the whole thing than to just do it. There were over 500,000 people working on the missions, and they haven't come out and admitted faking anything. Every time some big secret or cover-up is exposed, we are a little shocked, but what is most shocking about this, is the fact that so many people were involved and have none have come out and said we faked the whole thing. -
Wow!! That thing had a huge pile of thrust!!

Very moving, thanks!!

Baumgartner must be now really rally pissed off :-)
Dartguy replied to Pawelk198604's topic in Science & Spaceflight
I thought everyone realized that when the rich spend their money, it gets back to the people that are not rich. If I had tons of money, I would do things for fun, too. -
Microsoft is actually recommending a second AV along with MSEssentials, so I would not recommend it any longer. (Although I was a big fan of it in the past). \ To the OP: sounds like you just want a scanner. I would recommend Malwarebytes, and SuperAntiSpyware. Both free and both work very well. I also have a PC that has been up for years with no AV and it is perfectly clean. You just have to think before you click. Just install one of the above, do a full scan, clean, and uninstall. If you ever need more tools, check out bleepingcomputer.com for the best, most powerful cleaning tools.

Kennedy Space Center 2014 -- Does anybody want to see some photos of my trip?
Dartguy replied to TeeGee's topic in The Lounge
Just a guess, but it looks like it may be a little too tight in there, so they had to be moved slightly away from each other. -
Norman Borlaug Seriously. Look him up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Borlaug

Nucular. Even Rhode's Scholars mispronounce Nuclear.

That looks pretty cool, but if you need something now, I would suggest a case by Lian Li. I bought one a couple of years ago and I will probably stick with them forever. Just extremely high quality and not over-the-top flashy.

I kind of have a policy about buying anything in ads that have misspelled words or grammar mistakes. It just seems very cheap to not have someone correct all mistakes. I can't imagine that is worth much but maybe you can make a very low offer and it won't sting very much if it is junk.

I have had the Samsung 840 120GB for about a year now, and it has been perfect. I would highly recommend it. I will never go back to having an OS installed on a disk drive.

I saw the ISS for the first time in my life.
Dartguy replied to Cooly568's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Very cool. I watched it go over last night, too. I showed the kids, and my mom saw it for the first time. She was really shocked at how well you can see it and at the stats I gave her about it. BTW, it was not supposed to be very bright -1.5 magnitude, but at one point it got extremely bright for about 20 seconds. Cool stuff! -
Lebron is on the cavs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lowering periapsis at destination planet?
Dartguy replied to dryer_lint's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I have found that when you set up a maneuver node, click on the target planet and switch view, then it becomes MUCH more precise. Of course, the SOI changes still affect the end result. -
I agree with that. And I would not have any problem flying with a computer system at the helm.....as long as there are 2 human beings that are capable of taking over if there is a problem in the cockpit, and most of all that their lives are on the line just like all the passengers' lives. BTW: most airliners in flight today have systems that can land for them.

Asteroid capture craft for E-type asteroid?
Dartguy replied to deepspacecreeper's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
So, does fuel, rcs, solar power all feed throughout anything attached to an asteroid. If so, that would open up some possibilities.
