  1. 1. GTR2 2. KSP 3. GTL 4. Assetto Corsa 5. World Golf Tour These are the only games I have played for more than a few minutes in the last 7 years. So for KSP to climb the list is a huge compliment to SQUAD.
  2. Those abort launch towers make fine seperatrons. I have been using them since the last build came out.
  3. Without a doubt...the coolest looking failure I have ever seen!
  4. Last night.... I have captured a huge roid into a 75 x 75 orbit, but it is very polar. Maybe 20 degrees. It has been there for a long time, about a month. So I design this tug that is a puller for the first time. I didn't figure out a way to launch it without putting the claw on top with a probe core. Launch went fine, Apoapsis got to around 100 km so I killed the rocket and tried to aim at the maneuver to circularize. The damn thing would not turn and I fiddled with it so long that the timer went by by probably a minute then I got to it and lit it up. I was watching the node and nailed it pretty well. I then went to map mode and planned a little burn to fix the inclination. I set up the node and waited for it....I got close and tried to move the ship towards the node and it would not move AT ALL. I fiddled with it and then I hit the map button to see what was going on...I was at about 30 KM burning into the atmosphere!! I missed the first burn by so much that my orbit was all messed up. So I reverted to launch and got going again. Everything went well, got into a good orbit, decoupled from the first stage, made an Apollo style recocking to move the claw to the bottom and realized that I had no fuel. I failed to cut off fuel from the top to bottom. Had to spend a long time trying to re-dock with the launcher to get filled up for the mission. At least this time I remembered to bring solar panels!! Except they were right next to the claw, which meant they were almost always blocked from the sun!! Noob!!!
  5. Same here in Kentucky. Then the next February, we had an ice storm that had the power out for 2 weeks. It killed all of my fish. I hate ice storms.
  6. They had at least one very serious problem. Apollo 10 had a severe issue when it undocked in lunar orbit. Both the Astronauts flipped the same switch by mistake causing the lander to flip violently several times, almost becoming non-controllable. Quoted from Wiki: Upon separation of the ascent stage and engine ignition, the Lunar Module began to roll violently due to the crew accidentally duplicating commands into the flight computer which took the LM out of abort mode, the correct configuration for the orbital separation and ignition. The live network broadcasts caught Cernan and Stafford uttering several expletives before regaining control of the LM. Cernan has said he observed the horizon spinning eight times over, indicating eight rolls of the spacecraft under ascent engine power and that while the incident was downplayed by NASA, the roll was just several revolutions from being unrecoverable. Edit: I just realized that you were referring to the engine. But this is an interesting tidbit that I was unaware of until recently, so I will leave it here.
  7. I used Richdorf on an asteroid mission yesterday. I tend to look for funny names, then throw a Chad or Tom in there to keep em straight.
  8. The yellow fuel lines from outside to inside will drain the outside tanks first.
  9. If you have an nvidia GTX 600 or higher video card, you can get their Shadowplay software for free. I have heard good things about it, but I haven't tried it personally.
  10. 1. Do you use your cell phone daily? YES 2. How many times do you check your cell phone each day? 6 3. What kind of cell phone do you own? Nokia 928 4. Generally speaking, what time of the day do you most often use your cell phone? Work hours 5. Choose an answer: “I require my cell phone for everyday use.†Completely Agree
  11. Greatest show ever in the history on the universe! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBVHKwf5mSc You can tell I grew up in the 80's.
  12. Launches are very exciting, you can actually feel them in your gut from miles away. But they are over in a few minutes. I was lucky enough to see several shuttle launches from Orlando and one from Cocoa Beach. They are awesome at night. If you are spending a lot of money/time just for a launch, you may be disappointed. Make sure you plan at least a small vacation around that time so all that time will not be for only a few minutes of thrills. And hello.
