Cloud picture master thread.

There was a weird cloud formation in the Fraser Valley Sunday morning, nicely lit by the rising sun: (sorry for the huge pic)

The consensus (aside from aliens and chemtrails) is that it's a cloud formation called a 'fallstreak hole.' I'm thinking it's a jet contrail. Thoughts?

Doesn't look like a contrail to me, too dense. Beautiful shot!

It's definitively a fallstreak hole. You can see it's falling down in its typical fashion. Those are altocumulus clouds (cirrocumulus are a lot higher and more cutesy) so it makes sense.

Even without the Alien spaceship disguised as a cloud (you can't fool me damned aliens!) those would still be stunning pictures.

That shadow is made by something, and that something is a fallstreak hole.

And, Sampa, the shadows are symmetrical with the cloud and not the mountain(s).

I've seen those clouds a couple times where I live. Quite crazy! Clouds don't scare me until they turn into tornadoes. That's pure horror.
