@Endersmens,

I know that it's quite silly to ask if procedural parts could be imported (unlikely) but is it possible for anyone to fudge up the mesh of a procedural wing if dimensions were given?

Hoping to ask for a render of a large circular wing aircraft that I do not want to try building using stock parts for now :)

Want me to give a try at building it with stock wings? I can't promise that it will fly right, but it should look about right.

Hey, I could use the help. I got a plan to re-assemble the circular wings with stock parts, by combining the small square panels with the triangular type D ones.

I'll be releasing the craft file of the Mk. 3 circular wing aircraft shortly today, and will send you a PM when it's out. I may need to wait a while, as the modeller for the custom cockpit is putting the finishing touches to his first mod release sometime today.

Ok, a few warnings.

The importer won't import the new landing gear, so those don't show up. Not much I can do about that. Also, there were a few scaling issues, but I think I fixed them.

Thanks for trying, I am looking forward to seeing it.

I tried.... Something's off. I feel like it's the lighting or the proportion of the tank. I added slight shadow to under the guns and the rear and blurred the ground to look like trails.

I took a quick crack at this based on your render in Photoshop this evening and this is what I have.

The main things I did were to put some shadows in there (soft edge shadows to match the cloudy conditions and uneven ground) strong shadowing/occlusion under the vehicle, made the "lit from above" lighting of the barrels stronger, tinted the sides very slightly towards the green/brown of the ground and the sky facing parts a little blue and tweaked the contrast/brightness a bit.

Oh... and added some tracks behind the vehicle which was just some mud from another image cut to the right shape and roughly blended out at the edge.

I think the atmosphere is balanced correctly now.

I do think the atmosphere should be a bit more dense from this view but really good

BUT THE REAL QUESTION IS: Did they dock (the suspense)! who knows they could've ran out of RCS and are stuck like that :sealed:

I'm just curious, what kind of hardware do you render on, and what do you use to put the KSP models into blender? I've made a few of my own simple models with UV maps, and its quite tedious just for one thing.

I use the KSPBlender importer addon, available here: KSPBlender Release Thread

I have an Intel i7-4510U CPU, 2 cores and 4 threads, 2.0 GHz. No GPU.

Starwhip, may i ask, how difficult would it be to remodel fairings in Blender? I have a handful of ships, but many of them use fairings, and esinohio's seems to be inactive.
