How does he make the textures? Also, hey there Augustus... Just got my first ocean planet to look VERY GOOD! I'm now studying trought old PlanetFactory-Kittopia packs to figure out how they used the custom textures from oceans. So far I've only managed to make a lava moon.

Damn... the lava moon still uses Lythe ocean... n custom texture... was that dropped in older versions of Kittopis?

If you are having problems loading both OP+ and OPM maybe I should wait for any updates as I have both loading...I am wanting to make a carbon copy planet tho so I am figurin that out; I dropped KopernicusTech as this seems to offer more in the way of versatility; thou there is a problem (learning most likely) of atmospheres giving a heatwave effect and hiding orbit rings (for the ships); could be planet radius/atmosphere hieght settings etc...as I am trying to make atmospheres...

I will be streaming this this morning...I also want to port some planet factory planets over...

Hello,

The instructions on the OPM page say to use 'THEIR' version of Kopernicus which is different from KopernicusTech (as this is my understanding) and even different from the Original Kopernicus MOD; this is why some people may be having issues. (I noted in your instructions the use of KopernicusTech which I believe is incorrect).

If I am wrong send me to Putto but everything works fine here; now OPM also added moons for Urlum will these conflict now!?

I plan on moving a few moons here an there anyways. I may be settling with the OPM/OP+ package as I have no way to make my own 'reliable' moons.

(Edit: I notice now that the textures are PNG not DDS which will use MORE memory; can you eloborate? Do we need to convert these? I jumped from OP+ 1.7.0 to OPM+ 2.3.5 is this correct? (Sorted I guess 1.7 was the original work)

I will be streaming all this later.

Yes, 1.7 was my original work, and the first attempt at making panets. It was very ....y, it mostly didn't work, but that put the foundation for packs like this one or my another hugely advanced Kerbol Plus pack. Yes, I finaly got oceans working. btw, Augustus, you can change color of oceans using Kittopia and paste in the configs in the first pile of code "OceanTemplate = EveOcean" or whatever. It's not the exact spelling tho...

On the other hand, work on my original OP+ will stop after I'll release the last update to fix all the remaining bugs and hopefuly add a Purpe ocean planet around Neidon.

This is intended.

I'm having trouble getting OPM and OPM+ to load right now, unfortunately.

I was having this issue recently I found with texture replacer I had to have active texture management installed otherwise themis biome map had errors and all of kopernicus would fail to load. Any ideas why?

It's a Kopernicus bug. Outer planets plus had the same problem before the 1.5.1 update. They solved the bug trough a simple config, but I do not remember what was in it tho...

I know what your talking about but I think, may be only Linux but, the "+" sign makes it so doing that mm configuration file for this mod not work.

That seems like a long time in the future for an update like that, and why would you not want to use KittopiaTech for PQS? And much more can be done with KittopiaTech anyway! Also, what's wrong with the templates?

Not trying to be rude or anything, just stating my opinion.

Working PQS will be possible within a week. Rings and StarSystems stars have already been implemented.

Are animated models and particles implemented? Also, will there ever be a UI? At least we should have a reload and an export scaled space button! I just can't have that image in mind... Me trying to make some rings but I can't tweak them in-game so I nead to restart the game over and over again just because you can't reload configs...

Minor critique: There is no way that Olmo could orbit Phal, since the SOI of Olmo is actually larger than Phal's, and its orbit takes it closer to Kintar than Phal. With real orbital physics, it would be impossible to have a stable orbit like this - the moons are too closer to the main planet and would end up in either very eccentric orbits and would be ejected from the planet's orbit or they would crash into each other billions of years ago.

The same thing would happen with Jool's moons!
