Anyone else excited for the Falcon 9 launch today (scrubbed from yesterday)? I can't help but think of those great rocket concepts and visions of rockets from classic science fiction, evocative of the rocket ship from Tintin etc.

I find myself refreshing the Steam update page, and hoping against all common sense that I'll be celebrating the launch by starting a new 1.0 career mode game. Over-zealous-hype-train-conductors aside, it would be fun to see attempts to recreate the Falcon 9 system in Kerbal, although this might be difficult given the way craft control works. Anyway, yay for space exploration!!!

Weather is 60% "go" for today’s Falcon 9 launch attempt, sending Dragon to resupply the International Space Station. Lightning and clouds are still a concern. Liftoff is targeted for 4:10pm ET – live launch webcast begins at 3:55pm.
