So, let's see. First thing that caught my eye: MET for Mares is the same as absolute time: 200d 06h 06m 00s. Does this mean something?

Edit: If I'm not mistaken, a Kerbin day is 6 hours, so it must be real life days, right?

I'm hoping it means they slowed down Kerbin's rotation so it won't spin like a damn top. It would help increase launch delta-V requirements after reducing atmospheric drag.

Facts:

Because mission time = total time, it's a sandbox save, first launch.

Eve is the 2nd planet.

The're using Earth time, not Kerbin time.

Day 200 seems very suspect, as does exactly 6h and 6m. Though I don't know what for :)

A Mare is a sea on the Moon. It also means 'Sea' in Latin. However, in Latin, the plural of "Mare" is "Maria", not "Mares"

Envision has no specific space-related meaning I know of.

EDIT: Corrected my Latin.

I had not considered a clock face. Very good idea. However, that would mean we would have to find 7 in the second image. Furthermore in Squadcast last night, Max was hinting 10 a lot.

Just flinging metaphorical darts at the metaphorical dartboard and seeing what sticks.

An attempt at googling (which thinks mares is meant to be mars) brings up stuff about horses, the goddess venus, and some other wierd stuff.

You may be onto something, it's manufacturer designation was 4V-1 No. 660... 6 hours 6 minutes 0 seconds?

So Eve, analogue to Venus. EnVision, Venus mission. Another Venus mission, Venera 9, which was numbered 660.

so.... 9 days?
