Wait, how about we make this yearly?

I mean, next year we could select the host through a special process and look at channel growth through the new year.

I was actually discussing that with Upsilon via PM. It could be possible to have this yearly.

Oh, and can whoever is knocking the thread's rating down (it's at only 2 stars right now) either let me know why he/she/they are doing it, or please cease? I've put a good deal of work into this and the other judges have too, so penalizing the thread for seemingly no reason isn't cool.

Congratulations to everybody, but what about videos awards? :) Or did I miss something?

I hope the video awards will be posted soon, while the hype is still high :) I found the individual video awards interesting to judge as smaller channels with innovative solutions (or big explosions!) could have a fighting chance.

As I've mentioned in Bob Fitch's YouTube comments, I enjoyed judging the Oscar-Bs as it allowed me a broad overview of the entire KSP YouTube community and there's a lot of genuinely impressive productions all around :)

10/10 will meow again

I just realized I had not added my vote to the ratings for this thread. I gave it a 5 and the overall then jumped to 4. So if anyone else has not voted yet, and you like what was done here, give Upsilon a thread rating. He and the judges did a lot of work for this. Thanks!

Wow, thanks guys that's made my day that has. :D It's a real privilige to be in such elevated company and I'm thrilled that my channel was deemed worthy enough. BTW Bagal Rabbit, is there any chance of grabbing the craft file for the trophy? I've got a video in the works ATM but it'll be nice to perhaps shoot a little bonus vid where I put it on display? Anyway, flick me a PM if you like. Cheers.

Here's what's happening on my end, unfortunately.

A little less than a week ago, my main KSP computer died.

It passed away after a long battle with hard drive errors, crashes, and miscellaneous problems. It is now unable to even successfully boot up, which counts as 'dead' in my book.

It will be fondly remembered by my microphone, Sam, and my headphones named Roger.

Rest in peace, Logan. (Yes, I named my computer. Those who know that my microphone's name is Sam are probably not that surprised.)

This means that not only have I been unable to play KSP (and make videos!) for the past week, but I have also likely lost the .craft file for the trophy. I never even saved the trophy to Dropbox or any place where I could access it remotely, because I wanted to create personalized .craft files to send to all of the winners.

This is also, by the way, the reason why Bob Fitch generously agreed to create the Oscar-B video. I would have done it myself, but sadly I couldn't. The computer I'm writing this on isn't good for much.

Once I get a new computer (maybe a little less than a week from now), I may try to replicate the trophy as closely as possible. If anyone wants to replicate the trophy him- or herself, I can PM you some of the details that went into this thing, as best as I can remember them.

I'm quite sorry about all this. Hopefully it's understandable.

Oh, and thanks for bucking up this thread's rating to a solid four stars, everyone! I appreciate it :)

Please accept my sincere regrets for Logan's untimely passing. :( What are going to name your next machine? BTW Yukon's trophy replica looks pretty good to me, I'll use that unless you've got any objections?

Oh if you want a list of what my current PC uses. I bought everything for ~$700 and it does all that a video editor and gamer needs.

omg I forget to check this thread for a couple days and it all happens!!!

BIG congratulations to all the Winners! You guys have done a lot of hard work and it's really added to this community, well deserved!!

Equally, to all the runners up, you've all contributed so much and brought in many new players to the game.

The whole place is just brimming with awesome, judging must have been darn tricky!

Big Thanks to all the Judges and to Upsilon for organising this!! This must have taken up a lot of your time!

I am now kinda eager to see the individual video results, because.....reasons! ;)

Yes. A lot of the Up-and-Coming YouTubers did just that... after all, a big reason why they haven't gotten too many subscribers is that few people know who they are! There were some other people who nominated their own channels or videos, though (including me).

Oh, and can you please remove the mega-quote from your post? It took quite a bit of scrolling to see your question :)
