Its quite obvious that mods are people but considering how quickly they respond to threads that break the rules I think that for basic tasks an ai uses there profile to do basic stuff like banning trolls and stuff.

If you look underneath a post you see a small icon with an exclamation mark inside a triangle: if you click that you can report the post to the moderators. Since we all get alerted whenever someone reports a thread we're usually very quick to respond, even if there's only a limited number of moderators

I heard somewhere that when someone reports a thread/post, every single moderator receives the report instantly. I don't know where that was, though.
