wouldn't recommend that, some planets need certain pqs mods for their terrain.

Well, i don't have any other idea. All the planets already use preety much the same pqs mods, many of which are conflicting or not needed. I wonder which of the pqs mods are conflicting...

Might I suggest fully testing out each planet before considering it for release? I know it may sound crazy, but testing and making sure planets actually work would go a long way in stopping bug reports. When you are working on a planet don't just look at it from the map view or in orbit. Land on it, in several places, and fully make sure the planet is not bugged or acting weird. See if you can walk on it, test the gravity, ect. Once you know it's working as you intended then you should release, but not before.

look, amarius with all respect you need to properly test everything first before putting out a release. I can't even begin to count the hours I've spent testing New Horizons making sure everything works and even with all that effort small bugs still make it through. The same should be done with K+, the planets NEED to be thoroughly tested first otherwise there's no real point in releasing at all.

What you do is writing configs for mods, you don't code anything. Coding is a pretty hard job, and it takes some time to fully understand what you're doing, writing configs is pretty easy, and if you have some experience, you shouldn't even need to fix bugs, because either the config works out of the box, or you notice your issues while testing the config. I have to agree with Borisbee and Ashley: Test your configs before releasing them. It is a shame that a great mod is buggy as hell, because nobody checks the config, and releases get rushed out before they are properly tested. And honestly amarius: You can't complain that you have too many mods, I've seen people who maintain 10 mods or so and still have a job and a family. If you can't ensure, that your mods reach a specific level of quality, let someone else maintain them. But, if you really want to maintain them all, you can't use this as an excuse for your faults, and you need to make sure, that your mods are playable. Otherwise, I'd suggest to remove all Download-Links, put "[Heavy WIP]" in the title and to move this to Addon-Dev until you can fix EVERY single bug with the configs, because I've already got PM's from users who think that Kopernicus would break KerbolPlus, and that annoys me.

Ok thanks... the reality is just that I don't have time for anything. I'm currently stuck on an old lqptop for the rest of the summer, that can'teven run KSP and my collaborator is in another time zone so he never responds promptly. Cheers, kope4nicus is a great mod.

Kerbol Plus is awesome, one of my favourite planet packs along with New Horizons. As I see it since the goal was to make NovaSilisko's plans a reality K+ can have a reasonably well-defined "done" point in terms of what planets and moons are present, and either way I think that two hours would be better spent testing and bug-fixing rather than adding new planets. And if you're in a situation where you can't adequately test things then I'd advise not pushing new updates.

When's ETA for the hotfix? I'm not trying to hurry you, if you say "it's in a month" then that's OK...

P.S. to everyone who is having trouble landing on things: version 2.0 doesn't have the bug, if you can find it.

Oh that is even stranger... what could have changed regarding terrain? Maybe it is because of improper dds conversion, but that would only mess with normal maps... dunno but it may be some PQSmod that was changed it recent Kooernicus versions that is no longer working as it was defined... deleting every pqs mod except the vertex height and color seems to solve the bugs. ETA is 1 day. Half of the hotfix is done and you may get something cool like ground scatter!

Also, what's a PQS mod? I don't have any mods installed apart from this one, Kerbal Alarm Clock, and AutoAsparagus. Also, the only Kerbol Plus world I ever reached was Vix, and the bug might only be to do with certain other worlds.

A PQS mod is a modofocation, like a mini mod that goes into kopernicus konfigs to form planets. They have many complex but helpfull paramiters. For example, the VertexColorMap gives the planet the color you see from the surface, or the LandControl PQS mod that makes possible custom ground scatter

Yes, but it only fixes terrain bugs not stripes, as those were caused by improper dds conversion caused by 1.0's new dds format support. Olympic1 has finished converting things to dds but he didn't respond. Check the thread because I'm uploading right now.

Well, nope, because I was rushed and Olympic1 doesn't respond. It should actualy work, but without Olympic1's files, the hotfix is not realy complete (that's why it is 2.3.5b).

Also, it is made as a separate download, before I get it tested. I leave to vaca tion again tomorrow so all I can do is merge branches with Olympic. I already have a guy in Budaphest testing it right now.

So I'm confused. Does this theoretically fix the landing bug (if you get good news from Budapest), or is that fix in Olympic1's files?

It should be fixed. Olympic has completed dds conversion, part of career intergration, and some biome maps. I, in my short perion I had at home, made some textures for the new lava ocean ringed moon of Keelon and played a bit with ground scatter. With a bit of luck, in a few months we'll have this:

Full Scinece and Career intergration.

Full mod intergration.

Better EVE configs.

Collidable grounds scatter including stock planets and mod planets.

Randomly generated rare buildings like farms and abbandoned launch towers on Kerbin's surface.

Improved memory usage.

Improved planet terrain.

Some planets generated using PQS mods entirely.

Interesting moonlets to Jool and Keelon, that don't encrease memory usage.

Easter eggs on some planets. (A possible craken on Shayle that is randomly generated per save).

Magic Boulder around Dres that you can mine and move.

Overal optimisations.

Cheers! After this summer I start higtschool so I'll have about 2 full hours of modding so I can afford developing Kerbol Plus.

i'm in love with this mod =)

one question hohwever: i use your EvE pack, and for my taste the Blue glow on Kerbins Dayside is just to much. Nice to have, but in its curent state just to much for me, are there any numbers i can tweak myself to tune it down a little?

Well just search the start of the CloudLayer section for kerbin and delete it so it only remains for the other planets. Thank god it looks cool. One question: have you tested the new radiators? They're not much, but they can be used as reentry surf boards or Messenger style sun side radiators.
