\o/ Awesome, I was working on my own but I'm going to take a look at your template right away, this is the one I made on my own but is pretty much inspired on your designs, thanks

Glad to see you're getting some use out of it, hope you can make something you like! :)

Also, I've seen some people elsewhere ask for a way to show names on their spaceplanes - Kerbal Mission Patch Template let's you do that with the Aircraft Name and Number template, like in this picture of my crew shuttle, the Endeavor:

Here's another good one of the Intrepid:

Of course you can change the name, number, etc to whatever you want, and export it as a flag for your specific craft.  Enjoy!

When will you add the updated Plock and Khato icons?

Hi!  Yep, those will be in the next update. (assuming Outer Planets hasn't changed any of their licensing in the meantime.)

Thanks :)

So @Saybur Stuff, What are the plans for the next version? I'm interested.

Also, a little something I made earlier, With a little help from this pack.

Looks good!

As for plans for the next pack, I'm hoping to add more vessel icons, update some of the planets from Outer Planets, and overall refine the existing icons. Things like the 'swooshs" need more work and the patch outlines themselves could use some prettying up. I'm also looking for a good way to add clouds to the planets.  It'll probably just be another 'cloud layer' ... I haven't found a way of generating them yet that I'm happy with.

I'm also planning a YouTube "how to" for the patches... I think a lot of people get intimidated by inkscape (I can't blame them, it's a confusing program even if you're familiar with it.)  I think it might help some new users out.

Also, I'm hoping to start work soon with another forum user to help make these templates work for in a web-app so users can generate them easily online, and export them to their computer (dredding on reddit). That's probably something that won't be done until much later... and might be a fork from this project, which I still maintain mostly for myself! As I play new games I document them in a wordpress blog... my most recent is (GAME SPOILERS) https://kerbinrepublic.wordpress.com/

As I was playing I found it really difficult to make patches from scratch over and over, and I wondered if others had the same issue!

Anyway, that's the plan. It's nice to see people making use of these graphics! The Vectored planets especially have a lot of potential for many projects I think.

Hi!  I'd love it if you could share some of your vessels, if you like I can incorporate them into the next update for this mod.  Feel free to contact me!   :)

Oh yeah, I was out of the interwebs for months now (moving kinda sucks, by the way), but if you're interested, I'd love to share them with you, if you'd still like them. PM me if that sounds good.

Cheers

After a few hours of on and off work in MS Paint and GIMP, i have created my first patch, and it's for the Geryon Minmus Program. Individual mission patches planned and will be shared here if i remember, and if i actually use anything from the templates bin :P

Yes, it strongly resembles the Apollo program patch. These are a lot more fun to make than i originally had thought!

Edit: Also, OP, how did you get the planets in this pack to look like they do? Trying to get the same effect/look with some of my ships that i want to put on other patches, but i can't figure it out at all.

Edit2: Figured it out, disregard

This looks really great, good example of how much difference font choice makes!  Looks awesome.

(As a side note I've thought about adding more example fonts to the Mission Patch Template, but fonts are a real headache to work with, especially if you want things to operate across platforms. I'd strongly encourage people to play with fonts like this to get the look they want!)

Once again, i have only really used the planets from this download, but they play an essential role in my patch making and collection...ing...

That's awesome, I'm glad people are getting use out of this! As I've been doing my current play through I'm working on the next version.

Additionally, still hoping someone wants to use these graphics for a web or application to make the process easier! Contact me if I can help. :)

Hello. Could you see your way to providing each planet and template as it's own SVG file rather than a massive brick of them? I use Illustrator, and Illustrator dislikes gigantic SVG files (it chokes every time I try to open Icons.SVG).

Otherwise, these look really, really cool.

Good afternoon.
Sorry for my awkwardness, but I'm interested in design  patches for my programs and I downloaded the zip.
The work seems excellent to me, but I can't find any svg file called patch template or mission patch in the download, if it's in png.
Can someone tell me if it is a mistake or it is I who look for something that does not exist.
Thank you and excuse my honest English
