Import Your Craft into Sketchfab!

no linux version :(

It is very clunky in linux but it works... maybe.

First after download and unzipping you need to set the exe file's permissions to executable. Also, it seems to only launch correctly from a terminal.

When it is run ignore the field called "Game Directory". Instead click on the button "Browse game directory" and TYPE into the field your home directory path... for example; \home\kaa\KSP_linux. Click Open and the "select craft to upload" list will then be populated. An upload will now start and complete OK.

I am however getting no textures!

Engines all seem to be rendered with the fairings in place even when there is nothing attached to their bottom nodes and the landing gear is rendered as deployed. Fuel lines and struts seem to be correct.

Some mods are apparently accepted but the procedural parts mod doesn't work (not really surprising).

Ditto strut issues. Also, rockets render with the fairings even if there isn't anything mounted beneath them (any guesses if the exporter could reasonably test for this condition?)

Is there a forum thread on Sketchfab where we can give feedback on the exporter? Also, any reason the Embed Sketchfab model is greyed out in the forum editor?

Not sure it was the right place, but left some feedback here: http://forum.sketchfab.com/t/kerbal-space-program-craft-now-flying-on-sketchfab-sketchfab-blog/2402/1

I wonder if you can get the stl file directly to use in a 3d printer at home

Not as a .stl it seems.

Try it with one of my own craft.

The author needs to enable downloads first. Once you've gotten the zip, take a look in it and you'll find a single big lump of a file inside a "source" folder.

This file is itself a zip file that, once extracted, you need to rename to add a .zip extension to.

Once you've done that, and you open the embedded zip, you'll find a .craft file, with a whole bunch of whatever KSP parts (.mu models, textures, even CFGs) required to rebuild the model.
