"Eve: Order Zero" -- a KSP Graphic Novel (POSTLUDE COMPLETE...bet you didn't see THAT coming.)

Holy slow brain, Battbot! That one took me a minute. My brain was still singing the theme to that old TV show when the joke kicked in.

Once again, I actually laughed out loud! Classic!

So, are you going to make them all hibernate for 185 days?

Battbot to the rescue. Biff! Bam!... Oops. Got carried away there. :D

Thanks, Kuzzter.

Happy landings!

Nope, plenty to do in the meantime--Evestation will just have to accept that the lab and reaction wheels will go offline whenever they pass into shadow. Hopefully that's the only thing I forgot on these ships! OK no it isn't, I have played ahead of this a bit :P

NANANANANANANA BAT...tbot. Phew :) LOL

...and I should mention that while the probes' control interfaces do have 'personality', there is no real AI or autopilot. Kerbfleet General Order 50 forbids the installation of Mechjeb on any vessel (and don't start THAT discussion here please--Kerbfleet General Order 51 forbids judging other peoples' space programs!) Also related, Kerbfleet General Order 65: "No Kerbfleet officer shall acquire, or attempt to acquire, a clone army.")

Brilliant stuff as always, Kuzzter.

Thanks! More on the way--things are getting a little complicated with three crewed ships arriving in various orbits with various fuel situations. (p.s. Bob was right!) Mr. Dilsby is going to have his work cut out for him in the next few pages.

Thank you, I was wondering when someone would finally get that :)

I don't get that...

EDIT: Oh? (Why does this joke work?)

EDIT2: Nevermind, sodium is Na, and that theme is like this:

YESSSS

EDIT3: Actually no, I have a game to play. One link gets you rick rolled. The other explains the joke. Which one is the right link?

That's the joke I was talking about that took a minute for my brain to register while it was singing the Batman theme.

I don't generally say this about puns, but, as I said in the earlier post: "Classic!".

Happy landings!

OUIOUI? Uh....Melbeeeee! Come over here, willya?

Don't worry mój przyjaciel, here is the handy guide for non-romance-language types :)

quelle belle planete='what a beautiful planet!"

The update title of "la kerballe qui murmurait a l'orielle des robots" literally = "the (female) kerbal who whispers in the ear of robots" which is how folks in the movie business might translate a title like "The Robot Whisperer". :)

Sauf votre respect monsieur, it's written "oreille" instead of "orielle". Just my french 2 cents ^^

(I like the graphic novel, by the way)

Really, I should have known better. I'm an engineer IRL and I never send a real product out the door with this many screwups...well, not usually. Anyway, I attribute much of it to being distracted by the Duna mission, and of course making that comic. I recall I threw these ships together pretty quickly to hit the launch window for Eve, and wanted to get it done and not miss more than a few days of comic updates. But fortunately I think everything will work out, thanks to me ignoring Evestation's TWR and packing it full of LF before it left LKO.

All ships are in the Eve system now; status of the Evestation and Alouette miner you can see here. The Dipperkraft is just going to have to wait, it's in a somewhat elliptical orbit with only 75 m/s in the tank. Poor Bob and Tedus!

NANANANANA BATTMAN!

Wait, I think I know where that's going to land... Have you been reading easter-egg lists?

I have not... honestly I don't know where it's going to land either, I sent it on a high speed intercept and couldn't be bothered to check whether it has enough dV to slow down once it gets there. Will have to look at the list...

ETA: Can't find it. Am intrigued. Mad, can you give a link please?

Bob is too funny!

This crew's conundrum shows the problem with running concurrent missions. Bill was busy with 'Red Rock One' and some second-stringer designed the ships for the Eve Mission. :) I hope it wasn't Clauselle.

Well, I can't wait to see what clever and resourceful ways our heroes find to complete their mission goals, despite the brokenness limitations of their equipment. If everything worked perfectly all the time, that would be boring.

Happy landings!

Toujours c'est la vie kerballe, toujours c'est le "Système D" (debrouillage).

I was once an engineer in the "building things", college-degree-with-an-E-at-the-end sense, before I became a fire engineer (driver/operator of fire engines), so I know where you're coming from. I often have the same feeling.

Sounds like the Dipperkraft is becoming an ETVTAPE (Eve Transfer Vehicle To Analyze Psychotic Episodes) :D

Can't blame the flight engineers, this was all Kuzzter's fault!

"Vive la science!"

Lol, Haven't ever heard THAT before.

Kerbfleet's motto, often shouted upon planting a flag on a new body, is "For Kerbfleet! For Science!" This is how I suppose a French Kerbal might say the same thing :)

Well we wouldn't want the comic to become boring, would we? My English teacher taught me there are several kinds of conflict in fiction. I don't remember them all, but I think some of the main ones are Kerbal vs. Malfunctioning Equipment, Kerbal vs. Orbital Mechanics, and Kerbal vs. Annoying Other Kerbal.... or something. See, this is why I became an engineer and not a writer. That, and engineers get paid sometimes. :)
