Look! it's your other ship! Nope, that's the mun arc!

My Purple MUN 3 rocket decends over the mun. While i'm controlling my decent, i ask my friend if he can see my other already landed ship from a few days ago.

Suddenly, something kinda shines in the distance. My friend says, there it is! I look a tiny bit closer. its the mun arch.

This is what my head is thinking: Wow. you randomly come across the mun arch when you're doing a normal mission to land on the mun.

It was awesome

I think you mean "arch" not "arc". And yes, I've seen it. It's one of the first places I land every time I start a new save and am ready to go to the moon.

There is no "the" Mun Arch.

There are Mun Arches... 3 of them.

There is one that is quite easy to come across, as it is near the equator, and its fairly prominent at the top of a crater ring.

Given the size of the arch, the small size of the Mun, and the speed one travels at, its not so uncommon to find it without looking for it.

What I was happy about, was that after the ARM and large "NASA" parts came out, I set out to do a Saturn V lookalike and go to the Mun.

On *that* mission (my first mun mission with the large 3.75m parts), I found the armstrong monument by accident.

I also found the armstrong monument by fluke, after only been landing 2-3 times on the mun. Very cool

Yup. All 3. I caught my first view of the "easy" one on video way back during my first series that I started in... 0.22? 0.23? I don't remember. I also recently went back to it - and also visited the other 2 - in my current series where I'm using the Anomaly Surveyor (same one FancyMouse mentioned) contract pack to find all of the anomalies. I wholly recommend it; it's a fun way to make sure you visit all the anomalies.

Yep, I visited one of them (the one near the equator, at the crater rim) a long time ago.

I also visited the Armstrong Memorial (which involved a 1 hour long travel via a Mun Rover)

I had nearly the same thing happening! I did a normal Mun ascent and suddenly there was this arch in the background.

And there it was, the munar arch.

A few versions back I had my Mun base right next to it. I didn't park it on top because, well, it's not a very good surface for a base up there, but I did stick a flag on it.

Also there's like five of them.

I did the same thing. Although, it wasn't jeb. He's somewere in space orbiting the sun in the failed Mun rocket 1
