I'll drop a link here to my OBS settings when I get the chance. I uploaded them in an imgur album just yesterday and it sounds like a few people could use them. The greatest factor on video quality is "max bitrate" (also FPS though). I think it's under encoding. The second greatest is "encoding profile" in advanced settings and last would be resolution downscale. Hardly anyone watches twitch in full screen so if your computer doesn't have the power for 100% resolution you can drop it to 1.5 with little seen effect. Oh also following suit in stream quality would be your internet upload speed. I'm lucky to have pretty good upload speeds (~12 Mbps on a good day), if not a supercomputer (I have a 3.5 Hz 8 core processor and a GTX 660 GPU so it's in the fair-good range).

I hope this helps!

I was a freshman in highschool when our house caught fire. We had a campfire the previous night. The next morning my father cleaned out the ashes and put them in a plastic trash can thinking they were cool. They weren't. The trashcan was placed along the garage.

I was coming home from breakfast I remember and my street was full of fire trucks. "Oh craps someone's house is on fire... It's freaking MY house!" The garage and half the house burnt down. I was devastated for weeks. The house was rendered unlivable and we too had to stay at my grandparents.

SkyRender I don't know you, but your story struck me hard. And it reminded me of the dark place I went too after the event. I wish for no one to have to go through that. So for what it counts. $100 to you and your family. It took time. But our house was rebuilt. ( better then ever ) and our possessions were replaced. Stay strong bud. And just know that things will once again return to the way they were.

Thank you very much. :)

A quick note: Whether you donate a dollar, five, ten, twenty, one hundred, or a thousand (This would be insane), your contribution is going to be what keeps this project up and running. Don't feel bad if you can't donate much, because truly, every penny counts.

I should be streaming sometime this coming Saturday, around noon EST. Hope to see y'all there!

Thank you so very much. This project is working! :D

And as Starwhip said, we understand if everyone can't donate a lot of money. It's just the way it is. But any amount is money SkyRender's family wouldn't have had to help repair and replace, and that makes a lot of difference. :)

Oh and just so you guys know, I set up the gofundme site, so when you get a thank you email, it's from me. (for SkyRender. The money goes directly to him, I just set it up)

Well, I've been needing to do a storyboard session for a while on my upcoming cinematic... I'm planning a mission to Laythe. Accounting for radiation, temperature, reliastic energy, surface weather (Hurricanes), transportation, shelter, food supply, and all the other joys of leaving your home planet. I could stream it if a number of you guys want to be in call with me. I would want something like 3-4 other people chatting and giving me ideas. It would be planning the cinematic from the beginning to the end. The full ~45 minutes to 1 hour of it.

EDIT: Heh. I guess this is kinda the first up front announcement that I'm doing this. Woo! lol

Of the people streaming tomorrow (for the First Bona-Fide Official Project: Phoenix Stream), I'll be one of them.

Get ready for

Bagel Rabbit/Upsilon's

Protessional Lifstrem!*

(*not very protessional actually)

On my stream, there will be:

  • Excitement! Kerbal Space Program is a fun game to play.
  • Explosions! And lots of them.
  • Neat Craft! There's several I haven't shown you yet.
  • Physics Abuse! Because that's what I do best.
  • Music! Because nothing else beats live music and KSP.
  • Audience suggestions! Because you guys are awesome and probably have better ideas than I do.
  • ...and much more! I've planned some surprises, though I can't remember what they are right now.

To misquote Felsmak, "You know you need it. You know you crave it."

Time:

Saturday, 9/5 at 12pm-1:30pm EST

For goodness' sake, watch this stream! It will be like my YouTube channel, only much more so. And of course, it will support an absolutely fantastic cause.

Go to my Twitch channel HERE! Or better yet, go to the official Project: Phoenix Twitch channel. There'll be plenty of other great streamers tomorrow, too, so you might want to check them out as well :)

I hope this announcement builds at least small quantities of HypeTM. Mark your calendars!

Oh, and thank you guys so much for the donations so far! Keep them coming, ladies and gents. SkyRender really appreciates your support.
