More Gemini 3 pictures.

Spoiler

Can I take a moment to recognize just how good the Titan II and Gemini parts are in this pack? Probably my favorite rocket thus far (Although I'm hoping the Saturn V will change that). Also a dishonorable mention to the FASA umbilical towers for being broken as hell. As you can see only one managed to swing out of the way this time.

First stage separated. Too bad hot starting the engine causes it to destroy the entire rocket, it was always one of the coolest parts of a Gemini launch.

ATPOALx.png

Gemini 3 on orbit one. To reflect earlier Gemini missions I refrained from using the fuel cell on this flight (it wasn't used until Gemini 5 anyway), so I spent most of the flight drifting to conserve energy.

xZJRis6.png

The orbital maneuver was performed late in orbit one and raised the apogee of Gemini 3's orbit from 75 km to 110 km.

V4fNtcy.png

Descent to the waters of the Pacific Ocean, after just about two hours in space.

OckwTGa.png

Splashdown. The spacecraft's batteries barely made it through reentry, conservative as I was with electricity. I guess I'm gonna use the fuel cell on Gemini 4 (eh, wasn't really planning on doing Gemini 5 anyway).

Oh yeah, is the Saturn hype still a thing or are we not doing it anymore?

I think the Titan 1/2 and Apollo are my favorite pieces of the pack. The Titan first stage tanks in particular still impress me with how they turned out, especially after the specular and normal mapping. The Titan SRBs feel a bit lacking, and Titan IV is all wrong and needs a texture pass.

The latest beta version available on github doesn't seem to be loading properly on 1.1.3... stops while trying to load some antenna file

NOTE: ONLY FOR KSP 1.2 PRERELEASE

Sorry my dude. We don't have time to backport it to 1.1.3, and that would probably introduce bugs. :)

and it seems it's missing some parts, trying to build the Kane module, and I can't seem to find the heatshield, the docking probe, etc

1.2 has new part categories causing those not to late. And I already told you it doesn't work on 1.1.3, didn't I? :P

testing it on 1.2, whenever I go to the manufacturer's section and go to bddesign, I cannot find some parts, including the ones mentioned above, let me check again...

Search for Kane. Yould find everything for the Kane CSM.

I told you that you'd need the KSP 1.2 prerelease to play it T.T

EDIT: Also, just a little heads up. I'm probably going to be taking a bit of time off after the release. Focus a bit more on my senior project. I am feeling a bit burnt out, since this past dev cycles has been intense nearly every day for 2 1/2 months. I enjoyed it but need a bit of time to breath. I'll be back soon, don't worry. But probably not at the same speed as before. Apollo easily could have took far longer to do.

With that in mind, what would everyone like to see next? I'm feeling a bit paralyzed right now since there's so much I can do.

Bear in mind that we are now missing parts for any non-basic centaurs, and the Atlas engines will have to be redone before the Saturn 1C can be made.

I think he meant an earlier 1.2 build? Maybe? I dunno.

Yeah, he might have the current version of the pre-release but using an earlier version on 1.2.

oh! That's it, the categories were in one of the most recent 1.2 builds. My apologies!

A well rested CW. This has been a monumental effort/crunch/push, and you ought to take all the time you need. We've got more than enough toys here to occupy us for more than a little while :) I've got some MM things rumbling around as well, FWIW.

If a answer regarding parts is mandatory, I'm always a probe and utility fanatic. And also not so picky

Well... since you asked... and since they arent done yet (as far as I know): the 3.75m fairing for the S-IVB and the 5.625m fairing for the S-IC/S-II... and the hold down clamps (and maybe some launch towers). You know... since you asked. :P

(Real talk: Take a rest first.)

@CobaltWolf Congrats on finishing Saturn and a year of modding!

I'd like to suggest using the orange exhaust FX from the NASA parts for the F-1 engines instead of the standard blue one.  Maybe limit it to like 60% throttle like KW did if the effect looks too big.

Thanks! Does this look better? I just uploaded it to Github.
