Beales (Tantares) new solar panels I have not tried so far. Quality on your models has really improved over time. Hope you will do such a well-done beauty pass also on older parts Great work @hraban

It is planned but with the mass of parts it will probably take a while Current count: 327 To rework: approx. 120 Edited October 5, 2016 by hraban
KSPNerd
I have got an answer from hraban on FAR being able to analyze the aerodynamics of single part vehicles. Here it is. "FAR analyzes your craft, voxelizes it, and runs aero based on the voxel model. So, if the mesh of the part accurately represents it's aero surface, it will be fine." Nice, if so, all Contares space planes works. Have fun trying. I'm sure that FAR the COG and COP for individual parts are incorrectly calculated, because this is not based on the mesh in this case. Say, the COG and COP information in the CFG must remain valid. Edited October 6, 2016 by hraban

hraban
The construction makes you want more. UNION-1 2.1v transports up to 3t into a low orbit. The model consists of 5 parts: - Control unit in the upper cone - Tank of the second stage (The rocket engine of choice is the RK-Z-0124 which has already been delivered) - Two parts form the tank of the first stage - The RK-Z-33 in a 1.25m housing with an RK-Z-0110 engine on 4 control nozzles. Perhaps in the next few days, besides the updates and revisions to KSP 1.2, i will go back one or two historical steps and devote myself to the R7, Vostok, Voskhod, Molniya and Soyuz series. I personally would greatly appreciate seeing more obscure old stuff get done; old space is far more fascinating to me than new space. New space stuff is all too clean and boring to me. Are you saying you'd basically do your own take on the Tantares LV, and then add more parts for additional stages? (the real question... what diameter of the stages...?) (the real question... what diameter of the stages...?) Well Contares Launcher are always nearly 50% scale. A potential R7/Soyuz core stage has 0.9375 at the RD-108 and 1.5m on the max. The Boosters 1.25m.

CobaltWolf
I know you are fairly set in the 50% scale launchers (as it's your choice ) but don't you worry about payloads not fitting properly with their launchers if you're scaling them differently? CobaltWolf
Just now, hraban said: What payload are you talking about? Tantares Soyuz spaceships and Progress fit perfectly. I was more thinking of things like Tantares' ATV and Ariane, which if I remember do not fit well. The Soyuz and Progress are already small so they wouldn't have the same issue.
