I have made it capable of takeoff and landing, and it is now much more stable in flight, and takeoff.

Version 2.0: I have made it almost identical in look, and flight model to the real He-162A-2, and it flies very well in-game, with the same top speed, and climb rate, as well as turn, and roll times, the top speed in a dive is a little fast, but everything else is almost the same.

I have some aircraft I have made on war thunder lives site here:

http://live.warthunder.com/user/He_162/

Thanks for visiting!

There will be no craft files, since the mods are out-dated, and I need to re-do the design for 1.0.5 yet.

Finish this one off before you start another... If it can't take off from the runway, or land on it, then it's not done.

Aside from that, that's a very nice looking plane! I love the wing setup.

Is that how it is thought here?

I will make re-do the fuselage, and make it take-off-able I suppose. It is much too thin for landing gear where they were historically, unless I get a mod for custom landing gear, which at the moment, breaks my game. I will see what I can do.

We are not usually as harsh, it is much more supportive here, check the other threads and look at what other people do.

Achtung! I do suggest making the rudders and wings a bit less rhomboid in shape, especially the rudders. In picture you'll see they're more rectangular than in your version here. Aside from that, it's pretty good.

I will do so, but tomorrow most likely, as I am not able to do so at the moment, I made them that shape, as they did not give it the dutch roll effect when rectangular, and when rectangular, they don't have that curved top, which is hard to achieve with this procedural wing.

Is there a procedural wing mod, that allows me to make more organic designs, as in moving my mouse to shape the wing, not just rectangles, and triangles?

Awesome, thanks for letting me know!

I improved my a-2 variant, and added more pictures!

I wasn't being harsh, it's just that he had a really awesome looking replica plane that couldn't take off from the runway or land, and I was pretty sure that that's an important feature of a plane... Especially a replica! Just my opinion though. But that makes sense, no? Sorry if I came across as sounding harsh, I wasn't meaning to.

That is a very nice looking plane! Would you be able to upload it to something? I would love to take it for a fly :D

I know you did not mean to sound harsh, I was just surprised that someone answered with criticism so quickly, it is nice to see a straightforward, and helpful community.

Also, on takeoff, be careful not to throttle up too fast, gain speed at about 40% throttle first, and then accelerate to 60 and then to 80, then to 100, you will tip your nose into the ground if you do not, and hold the flaps full back (point nose up) to prevent the nose from being forced into the ground.

I added the He-162B-1 model.

Ooo I like the sound of that take off, for some reason that seems more appealing to me then a fire-and-forget takeoff. How about landing, any instructions for that?

Would you be able to tell me the mods you think are most likely to be used with the plane? I really want to fly it, but currently that mod list is waaaaay to large for my puny little MacBook Air to run, and a lot of effort for me to go through...If you could narrow it down to like, what, 5-6 mods or something though I'll be happy to do that!

Yeah sorry if I came off as sharp on the criticism or something though, I've been told I'm a little... abrupt, to put it nicely. Sorry.

You didn't come off as sharp to me, don't worry, I can narrow it down in fact. Give me a little bit.

To land:

1. Slow speed to about mach 0.45 at most. Do not go below mach 0.4.

2. Touch the wheels to the ground, and slide for a bit, get the aircraft strait.

3. Tap the brakes slightly, and slowly, you do not want to tip her over, or cause her to smash her tail into the ground either.

4. Slow to about mach 0.2, then hammer the brakes, you should not flip unless it is super windy, and you are flying with the wind.

5. Slow her to a stop, and you are now landed!

Mod list:

1. Procedural Parts

2. B9 Procedural wings

3. Dr. Jets chop shop

4. Tweakscale

5. Argus Pulsejet

6. FAR (Ferram Aerospace Research)

7. BD Armory

8. Crossfeed enabler

9. Modular Flight integrator

10. Module Manager

Use CKAN to install most, Argus Pulsejet cannot be found on CKAN yet, so get it here: https://kerbalstuff.com/mod/1238/Pulsejet%20Argus%20As%20014

I have added the new B-1, and B-2 models for the He-162 and extra pictures!

The download links are working and the needed mods will be there soon.

I will be adding every variant of the He-162 soon.

C and D variants are in, I will upload the E and S variants when I am able to upload more things to war thunder live.

Thanks for the reputation!

I have added the He-162E and He-162S variants, all of them are now here.

All the versions are done, and they look quite nice, any comments?

Actually, yes. I was going to mention that you'd neglected to get the shape of the engine cowling right, but it seems in later versions (Im talking about your first a-2 compared to the second version here) that seems to be corrected, which is nice.

Thanks guys! Oh, and yeah, the Engine cowling was a bit off, among other things... in the first version at least. The nose and cockpit is also off, but that is the best you can do with limited procedural parts.

I am waiting for this mod to continue making them better, the owner is adding more engines needed for the perfect look, and another friend is working on designing a cockpit for it:

http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/137940-1-0-4-Pulsejet-Argus-As-014-As-044

Changed some stuff in the OP, but that is all.

*bump*

I expected more comments, anyone have anything to say about this? I'm waiting on B9 Procedural wings, and 1.1 update to come out so I can update this things nose section to look more like the real thing.

They are good planes, however everyone saw them and moved on. No offence, but it is nothing innovative, and in my general opinion the quality needed to impress people if its modded is just so much  more than stock. I like them,  but hey, it was posted over a month ago and there really hasn't been new content. It happens to nearly every post, just let it die

Nah, I will show my creation to the world, I am confident that no-one else can do this better than I have so far, and all other versions of this aircraft prove me right. Thanks for the encouragement though, I feel like you could have put your words a little nicer, the community grows every day, somebody who was looking for a good He-162 replica may have just found it today, and would have never known, think about it, a million person community, and just a few hundred people actually saw it so far, not to mention 8 billion people on the planet, most of whom could probably care less, and some of whom don't know what KSP is. I'll bump this monthly until I reach enough views to put it on the front page of google images when I type He-162 KSP into google. I do not mean to be rude if you took it that way, but I took you as rude, and I dislike that you feel the need to tell someones dream to die.

In the famous words of IDK who,

"The hard part isn't getting there. The hard part is letting go."

We all get attached to something, but sometimes it's better to give it up than to stress about it. And you need to take a break, my good sir. Don't worry about it.

Nah, don't bump the thread, the mods will descend upon you like vultures on fresh roadkill (no offense to either party, the analogy just fit). I would suggest making several related craft and releasing them in a pack, adding new content every now and then, instead of trying to milk this one plane.

To be honest, people won't be as impressed by one little, unoriginal (sorry, but it's sort of true) craft as they would of one big/innovative craft or a collection of craft.

Say, if you like WWII jets, why don't you do a pack of them? It could have the Me-262, He-162, Ar-234, Ho-229, Gloster Meteor, V-1, etc.

I will not make a pack with the Gloster Meteor, it is not German, however, I can make a pack including a Me-262, He-162, Ar-234, Ho-229, P.13a, Hs-132, Triebflugel, among hundreds of other German prototype, and experimental aircraft in world war two.

This thread will continue to be bumped, and updated as soon as my mod list is updatable to 1.0.5, or 1.1, and until then more people will view it, and more peoples days will be made, there is no reason not to bump this thread once in a while, as long as it is only once per month or so, and only if it is not getting 100 views a month or so.

Make more models of airplanes?

After 3 months all you have are more and more variants of the volksjäger, that can only keep someones attention for so long...

LOL just realize, its your name...Sadly if all you are going to do are volkjgrs, the audience has already dwindled.

Let them do what they want. Hell, dedication on one aircraft like this is something to be applauded, not criticized.

Did the audience dwindle when GusTurbo made a Saturn V -- When there was already one by Mulbin?

Nah, I will do Henschel Hs. 132's as well, they are basically a Volksjager, but you lay prone in the cockpit, and the Hs132 is meant to be a dive bomber to replace the Ju-87, and by the end of the war, it was assembled by Russians, only lacking it's wings, which were stolen by the US, and the engines were widely distributed, but the Russians never installed the engine, and never got the wings, or the blueprints for it, so they scrapped it.

Oh, and I will do other aircraft, but only when I find I have made this one perfect. My name is He_162, since I love this aircraft, that is also why I started with it. When I am done with every different version of it, and they are all perfect, I will put up a mod list for 1.1, and download links to them all as well, so you too can fly this around, and realize how cool this aircraft is.

^^^ I agree, however, I was prepared for criticism, I was simply surprised I did not encounter it until AFTER I had to bump it, and I am not talking about helpful criticism, I am talking about the kind of criticism people like JuanxLink give.

Don't worry about him, he does insult people a lot, but he hasn't been on the forums since December anyway.
