New update, Broken mods.

The game is perfectly playable without mods... I suggest you give it a try for awhile. It makes you appreciate and enjoy those mods much more. Or you know... Do something else. Strange I know. Took me two years to summon the courage to quit for the few months until 1.1 hits.

What mods don't work? All mods I have used are 100% compatible. Better Buoyancy might not work, though.

um, ALL of them?

KER, KAS, KIS, all the visual packs, fairings, wheels, robotics etc. everything is broken and CKAN won't even let me install them.

I'm stuck playing the 1.0.4 backup.

That sounds like a general CKAN problem.

But when I loaded a part into the VAB and the visuals showed the RCS thrusters continuously firing, in the VAB, that has to be the Mod. Something that obvious can't be a Stock problem.

Hmmm... 1.0.5 isnt supposed to be a major mod breaker...

What is the one thing that you just stated rules ALL your mods?.... CKAN maybe?... You ever think that maybe CKAN is what isnt updated yet and what doesnt work with 1.0.5 yet?

Sorry... people make me laugh...not even 12hrs after a new KSP release, and people who heavily mod, expect to jump on the bandwagon and have everything work perfect, and complain when mods dont work... Especially when they dont even research thru each mod thread to see if it IS updated, or if it's DEFINATE that the new update breaks it...

StageRevovery already has an update on kerbalstuff, so I don't know why you post wrong information without even bothering to check the common sites for updates.

There are already lots of mods being updated for 1.0.5 and ready for use

I'm had a fun launch last night where my radial parachutes acted like rockets dragging my pod down into the ground. I was more amused than outraged. plan to spend some time today diagnosing this. Hardly worth getting emotional about though.

Because I wasn't in a position to download updated versions of mods. You can correct someone without being condescending.

Seriously people, just stop. It's not funny or even good bait anymore.

(Pinky): The Mods are broken, What will we do this evening?

(Brain): The same as we do every update! Take over the.... no wait.. just wait for the Mod devs to update the mods!

Or just stop complaining...remember: The mod developers do this in their spare time, and they don't do it for money even! So just be happy with the new version and wait until the mods get updated.

I'm not sure how sharing which mods we ran into problems with is complaining.

Am I the only one who uninstalls all mods before running the new version of KSP and then reinstalls them as they get updated?

I do that too. I'll uninstall Kerbal completely, delete anything left behind, and then do a fresh install of the new version. Overkill? maybe. But I don't run into any crashing issues and it'll be fresh and shiny in a couple days when I start installing mods again.

Do some poeple expect that modders all live together in some fire department-like building? When a new release is out, everything goes "ALARM!!!!!", sirens, blinking red lights everywhere. Then the modders jump out of their beds, slide down a pole to the floor below (thats where the computers are) and get cracking to update the mods asap.

How is this even for the modders? We're just sharing info among eachother on what doesn't seem to work. I think you guys are imagining a problem that isn't there.
