How did you come to get your screen name?

A result of my alma mater. For logins they used the first five letters of our last names, then the first initial. If wasn't available, they added a number to the end of it. I've stuck with it since.

It started with minecraft, where I couldn't use spaces for my name.

Here is how I got to ImTheCaptin

once cometh birth age of 11 I became massive noob playing half life one online

my first name was frozenfish but people either called me frozen or fish and not frozenfish... some thing had to be done

so I changed it to the most responsible thing I could think of I'mTheAdmin

I kept this name until I played counter strike source when I found that with this name I could claim to be the admin (yes noobish)

After much greifing on zombie server I had to constantly change my user name and rejoin the server so at that time I had a TON of usernames (still noob)

but my main screen name stayed I'mTheAdmin

Until I shed the bounds of being a noob and started playing garrys mod (How did I stop being a noob in garrys mod is anyones guess)

So hence forth I stopped claiming I was an admin but kept the name of old time sakes

however this caused much confusion because people would call for ADMIN and It would seem like they are talking to me and not actual calling for an ADMIN

at some-point a real admin threaten to ban if I didn't change my name so I changed it to ImTheCaptin

the reason why it is captin and not captain is because I hate it when people say 'cappy-tan'

My first 2 loves in life where those Military Flash Cards you could get from National Geographics Infomercials.

And Rock & Roll.

So when I was in my Teens I came up with my first Screen Name, which you can still find me around the net with. :Comsquaddelta:

Meaning: "Communications Squad Delta"

After try the KSP Demo though, I really wanted to change things up and Blend a few things.

First off I love Rock and Roll.

Alice Cooper, Damn Yankees, Dire Straights, and Ted Nugent to name the few.

So I thought to myself how do I blend Space Simulation and Rock'n Roll.

Then it hit me.

There hit: "I believe in a thing called love"

Has everything I love about Rock N' Roll and Space

The Kraken, Marshall Amps, Ear Shattering Vocals and Various Other Items.

So there you go I am "The Darkness"

I used to by getoutofmyhouse on the CoD forums when I was a CoD Fanboi on the Wii and when I finally got my 360 and I couldn't do Topgun and I didn't want getoutofmyhouse in it's full form so I shorten it to just GOOMH and been using it ever since. BTW it's pronounced GOOM with a silent h and NOT GOOMEH or GOOMAH or GOOM-H. I kinda like it better than TG since well it's unique and no one I know has it and I always can use it unlike TG.

Back when I was an annoying little kid I was one of those "SO RANDOM!!!111!!! XD" people. So when I was nine and I created a Roblox account (eugh) I chose NUTTY555 as a username. Because I had a stupid obsession with acorns. When I got Portal (Best Valve game ever), I had to make a name for my Steam account, I took the Y off of my name and changed it to: nutt_005. I eventually decided I didn't like this when I got Garry's Mod and changed it to Nutt007. (So yeah, the "007" after my name has nothing to do with James Bond. ) That's the username I still use today.

This username was chosen, because it was named after the mission in the Demo that would take the most time (but is arguably not the hardest), to crash into the sun! However, I don't think I have done it with stock yet...

Some other of my usernames have interesting etymologies too. On some sites, I am Grind3r, named because when I play video games, 99.99% of the time I spend is grinding. On other sites, I am Mossstonelover64 - that name comes from Minecraft (Moss Stone, then the number for a full stack. Another username of mine, I won't tell for reasons which are also secret. Finally, on one site, I'm ThePaleDayFalls. I'll let you guess the etymology for that...
