Well, I used the last of the oxidizer in Kerbin orbit, nukes the rest of the way until landed on Minmus.  After refueling, I could use rockets again, but no Darts, used Rapiers.  I just downloaded it again, still not in AG8.  No big deal, I added it to my copy in my SPH :)  Noticed 3 not bound for nukes too :)

I just checked and they are all present on the save I uploaded to KerbalX

Here is the tragic end of KSS Voyagers interplanetary journey. After her ascent from Duna, Voyager had no oxidiser. The crew decided to attempt a landing on Ike to mine more fuel. Jeb tried a tailfirst descent and quick flip to the Vernor engines underneath, but alas this ship does not flip, it's more of a procession. A low velocity impact is enough to break the back end and when she finally flops onto the landing gear a tanks explodes breaking the ship in two. The shakedown cruise has inspired several innovations that will be incorporated into Voyager 2. It will then go rescue the stranded Kerbals on it's shakedown.

I can't understand someone giving this topic 1 star.

Trolls be trolls you know, it's the same on reddit, you travel around the system on a single launch, 2 votes, you build a flying chair in two minutes thousands of upvotes, planes are KSP's cute cat pictures.

Yes I do sympathise with @Rune's criticism of SCF while still not agreeing with it.

I don't quite get what you mean by "my criticism", but I can agree that this is one fine piece of engineering. Certainly not worthy of a lousy star, but hey, troll be trolls as you say.

P.S: Regarding the tragic end of Voyager 1, all I can say is now you have first-hand experience of why the Javelin has tail-sitting landing gear. Those Mk3 parts are horrible when absorbing impacts directly! The slightest deformation, and the joints blow up. Oh, and a powerful vernor-based RCS system is really helpful in general, like the one the Orca has.

Rune. Still, quality ends up shining through, to those that know how to look.

Don't worry you too ;) I've noticed this majestic plane, and am actually testing it. I mean, I could've used my own Pixkaxe, but.... who doesn't love smashing brand new engineering into Vall?

Not worried just lamenting the variable quality on Reddit, it's different here mostly

I have somehow made it look a whole lot tougher, plus added more oxidiser and 8 Kerbal passenger capacity, vertical landing orientation and faster pitching. May possibly be draggier ;)

hmmm it looks like the cargo bay and ramp nukes are pretty much solely responsible for this crafts good performance, building a beefier back end for landing on negates the huge resources in space of the current model, even a fairing is heavier and less slick than moving bay and ramp, go figure.

I think the way forwards is to have a better ascent profile on Duna to preserve oxidiser. I am thinking the outermost 4 rapiers get disabled and the nukes turned on a lot earlier, say at 10-15km, theres not much atmosphere and we only need 800ms.

I am still looking at improving the pitch speed to make tail to front landing easier.

Keep up the good work mate, she is worth the effort!
