The only thing I want you to install via CKAN is KWRedux, nothing else anyway, it's late for me, I'll look for your email in the morning Edited May 2, 2016 by linuxgurugamer

(guessing its not this since it should say if it can see a current install ot KW) If thats not the issue, could you click on the body of text in the error window and do control a then control c (sorry if you know this :p) And paste it in a spoiler tag (so its not a massive message). Mokmo
I posted on saturday about a lack of effects on the solid boosters, updated to new version and it didn't do the trick. So i updated ModuleManager And just now i tried deleting the MM cache... seems it was the one carrying the problem over to new versions...
Sampa
ok, installed successfully via CKAN, no change. the problems persist.
Virtualgenius
The problem is the old KW Pack you didn't have to install power configs which is tripping people up, if you just make one power config default and the other optional it will probably cut down your support requests

Virtualgenius
I dont quite understand why ckan cant install the base package that has the power config already set and the other is included in the extras pack if you create the kw package with instant power configs already installed (Default) does it not install it and you have graduated as an extra

Virtualgenius
I am not sure i am explaining things correctly or understanding why it would need to overwrite something that was already set in the base package
linuxgurugamer
7 minutes ago, Virtualgenius said: I am not sure i am explaining things correctly or understanding why it would need to overwrite something that was already set in the base package Probably my fault in not explaining: The power configurations are in .cfg files. Their proper installed location is:KWRocketry/Parts/Engines/engineDirectory, where the engineDirectory is one of: 1mMaverick1D 1mWildcat5 2mGriffonG8D 2mMaverickV 3mGriffonXX 3mTitanl 5mEngines In the zip file, they are packaged up in the Extras directory: GraduatedPowerResponseConfigs InstantPowerResponseConfigs The config files are stored inside these two directories in identical directory structures/files. When followed correctly, the files are placed in the correct locations. CKAN will not overwrite files. So if I put in (as was originally) cfg files for the GraduatedPowerResponseConfigs, as it was packaged originally, CKAN won't work. So I'm looking at one of two options right now: Create a package and put up on Spacedock for NON-CKAN installs which would have the default configs Write some code which will check for a proper install. and if someone wishes to help by rewriting the instructions so that they make more sense, I'd be extremely happy to use it. Virtualgenius
Ah now it makes sense you have modified the original directory structure to incorporate your fixes. I will try and write some instructions that make sense for you and I will include screen shots and put it in a dropbox for you to review
linuxgurugamer
I just uploaded a new version of KWRocketryRedux for manual installs. It is available on SpaceDock: http://spacedock.info/mod/633/KWRocketryRedux%20-%20For%20Manual%20Installs This includes the original GraduatedPowerResponse configs already installed, so should avoid install issues in the future
Jeorge
Hello @linuxgurugamer I hope you integrate the missing original 5m expanded fairing wall and nosecone from KWrocketry 2.6d2 in the oldfarfairings folder. here's the download link: http://kerbal.curseforge.com/projects/kw-rocketry-v2-7/files/2216751 EDIT: oh you don't need to now, Felbourne included the fairings on the new build. Quote the files from 2.6d2: GameData\KWRocketry\Parts\Fairings\UnifiedFairings5m\KW_Fairing_ExpandingCone5m.mu GameData\KWRocketry\Parts\Fairings\UnifiedFairings5m\KW_Fairing_ExpandingWall5m.mu Transfer to your mod KWRocketry\Extras\OldFARFairings\GameData\KWRocketry\Parts\Fairings\UnifiedFairings5m EDIT: don't need this now For people who wants to use the original fairings after copying and pasting the gamedata from oldfarfairings you still need to manually remove the procedural fairing bases to avoid redundant parts Quote Parts to delete on your gamedata under GameData\KWRocketry\Parts\FairingBases\KWExpandedFairingBase delete parts: Part1mPFE.cfg Part2mPFE.cfg Part3mPFE.cfg under GameData\KWRocketry\Parts\FairingBases\KWFairingBase delete parts: Part1mPF.cfg Part2mPF.cfg Part3mPF.cfg For stock aero you need to install old school fairings plugin from Felbourne (download link for 1.1 is on page 6) Edited May 2, 2016 by Jeorge

You just need to drop this files from 2.6d2 GameData\KWRocketry\Parts\Fairings\UnifiedFairings5m\KW_Fairing_ExpandingCone5m.mu GameData\KWRocketry\Parts\Fairings\UnifiedFairings5m\KW_Fairing_ExpandingWall5m.mu To your mod directory's oldfarfairings folder KWRocketryRedux_-_For_Manual_Installs-3.0.3.zip\KWRocketry\Extras\OldFARFairings\GameData\KWRocketry\Parts\Fairings\UnifiedFairings5m edit: Ignore the other quotes. Those are instructions for people who wants to use the oldschool fairings edit2: Those are the missing 5m expanded fairings parts(nosecone and wall) for people who wants to use the old fairings. You don't need to change anything, just copy over that files. Edited May 2, 2016 by Jeorge

The folder OldFarFairings folder is optional It will add files but not replace them. It will just add the old fairings, those files are the missing parts 5m expanded nosecone and fairing wall from the oldfarfairings folder. Just in case people wants to use the old fairings. EDIT: You can ignore this now as the new Old school fairings now includes the kw fairing. So there would be one which makes it more in line with stock, and another which would be more I in line with what you suggest Awesome! I was reluctant in the past to install KW Rocketry because of this precise problem. Fuel ratio for stock fuel tanks are usually 1:8. For KW it's 1:9.1 across the board mostly. I am not vested enough in MM to write a patch and editing the tank configs manually out of question. I'd like to see a dry mass increase on ALL tanks. gilflo
I have an issue with KwRocketry Redux and B9 aerospace procedural wings in 1.0.5: B9 control surface are stuck and the menu when selecting the control surfaces does not show, yaw, pitch, roll.... I solved it by removing the KW-FAR.cfg as I don't play with FAR. I hope it won't give other issues....

Second, when I build a rocket from scratch, it will not let me mount anything radially. a similar thing as what I mentioned above occurs. Sampa, I got your file, and can see that KW wasn't installed properly.
