Tilting the solar system like I'm seeing, instead of tilting the planets, offers a decent workaround, actually. I just didn't expect the terrain and surface of SSRSS Earth to be shifted such that Florida and Senegal were on the logical equator at the same time.

I still have to launch at a different inclination to match the Moon or any other SSRSS body, so there's still a challenge to be had. Managed to do a return mission to the SSRSS Moon with my modified Kerbal-X on the first try, even if I had less fuel at Lunar orbit insertion.

You can launch to the Moon from almost everywhere, just wait for the right window. I usually launch from Cape Canaveral, there are a couple of Windows per days.

Speaking of launch windows, wouldn't all the Inner Planet launch windows be the same as all the inner planets in the Stock KSP system? (Moho, Eve, Kerbin and Duna)

Well looks like we have some competition in Earth Porn.. :D How come the MK1 command pod looks different? Some texture pack?

I actually got my first actually good SSTO into orbit. Going to test and see how it performs as it only had rudders because of the wing configuration so it was a pain to land. Let's see if I can start purposing it.. :)

Looks quite nice. :) I don't know if this is possible but are clouds that have some dimension to it possible? I have no idea why i'm saying this anyway but my computer already gets killed when going through the clouds even though I have a GTX 970. :(

What do you mean dimensions?

Like 3D clouds. They may look 3D when near them with scatterer, but from a distance I mean.

It's possible with the current eve but it looks awful. Plus performance sucks

Yeah, was gonna say about performance too. I'm already looking into why i'm getting terrible framerate.

Have a lot of part mods?

Well, yes. But the main rockets I use which are average 100-175 parts still get me 30FPS basically everywhere. If it's a helicopter or a small spaceplane, 60FPS. But I think it drops again when getting into the clouds.

Doesn't matter if you only use 175 parts,  just having a lot parts packs in your gamedata will slow you down tremendously. Even if you aren't using them.  That's why I always delete all the parts I don't ever use, and I use procedural parts and delete all other fuel tanks that come with other mods

Sweet! Gonna give that a go. Does having multiple craft files effect it too?

no it shouldnt

Is there a way to make the game know that your mods are in another folder so that they are not in the game directory? If so, would this help with performance?

This is very hard getting rid of mods... :( Space-Y is probably causing all the lag but I need it for a lot of my builds. Fuel tanks plus too.

You don't have to get rid of complete mods,  just the things inside the mods you don't need
