It's sad how most of the history of the Earth is simply dismissed as "Precambrian." We must thank the Hadean for giving us a Moon! For giving us Apollo, and Artemis, a reason to go back into space on our way to Mars after all these years.

I have a long timeline made out of paper that shows the entire history of the Earth with notable events marked. Everything is to scale, and it's about 8 feet long. Most of that time is Earth, chilling, with no complex life or anything, just sitting there with oceans and small continents. Back in my day, none of us cheated and got energy from the Sun.

I did! I found it a very enjoyable video. I made the timeline long before this video came out. I used the video to study for and help make a project for a biology class. Wrote a journal as if I was time traveling through all the periods of the Earth.

I don’t see anything wrong with the current thread. You could just do a “what’s your favorite geologic period 2023” type deal as if it is an annual or once every couple years thing though.

That's fair. I just feel the poll and OP could be reworked.
