Hi everyone,

The forums will suffer some scheduled downtime tomorrow to perform a software update. This update will bring a few new features and bug fixes, detailed in the spoiler below.

Oh, this is the most frabjous thing I've heard all week. Next best thing to seeing the "Guess Which Forum User We'll Needlessly Ping Next" thread get burned to the ground, run over with a train, and then set on fire again just to make sure. Hooray!

QUICK, EVERYONE TO THE SPACE ENGINEERS FORUMS! WE WILL BE REFUGEES!

(This is going to suck,a LOT)

(Hopefully the bugs are treated afterwards, maybe SQUAD will actually NOT destroy a few threads...)

Is there a way you could get a read-only mode backup server running during the maintenance cycle this time?

It would be very nice to be able to read the forums even if you can't reply.  After all, many of us fetch certain references from the forums like the community list of mods.

p.s. if not this time, could you see about doing it next time there is a maintenance/upgrade cycle?

If all goes well this update shouldn't take more than an hour. I'm still undecided exactly when this week it'll be though.

That's a change that doesn't apply to us :)

Ah.  SparkPost.  I tried configuring it on my forums the other day.  I immediately went back to SMTP. :P
