I have no idea who you are, nor have I ever seen you posting before. Are these types of posts really an addition to the forums?

I feel stupid for posting this now...

@Mr. Quark: Don't feel stupid. In fact, if I were you, just ignore Camacha. The way I see it, there are many of us here on the forum who have made a lot of virtual friends here. I know there are some that I enjoy interacting with. It also gets to be a little bit of a downer when I have to spend any serious length of time away from this place. I actually spend more time here in this forum than I do on Facebook or Black Board (for the courses I teach). So... post away!

What I would recommend, if I may be so bold, is next time, instead of creating a thread for it, just go into your profile and post it as one of those statuses instead. That's what I do with announcements such as this.

Don't. Please, don't. @adsii1970's sentiments are shared. I have made more friends on this website in about a year than I had in the previous five. When my personal laptop broke, it was very startling how lonely I felt. The connections I've made here are important to me, and that should be cherished. Good luck with you're laptop, and I hope you are well.

P.S.

I like Norway too!

I've met a bunch of really nice folks that I enjoy reading their posts. In fact, there are days I prefer to read what they post rather than read the news headlines... Don't be afraid to reach out, to join in conversations, and to become involved in the forum. One of the nice things is that I literally have been able to share my love of astronomy, space exploration, and tinkering with people with like interests from around the world.  :)

Same with me, people are very nice here.

Most of them are. And when you run into someone that's not, well, there's enough good folks here that you can ignore the bad ones without any loss!

Well, don't. :D It hardly reflects badly upon you if one particular forum member does not recognize your name.

Yup, don't worry about it. As you become more involved in the forum you will gain people who will reach out to you. Don't hesitate to reach out in return.

I feel I'm in the same boat as you. I feel I'm going to be drifting away as I don't have a "home" on the forum anymore. Granted I'm hoping to change that.

Ill be honest, I don't have a social life outside of this forum so don't feel bad at all about posting. At least someone knows what's happening in your life. As I've learned, people care.

So don't feel bad or stupid. At least you tried.

If you want to see someone feel stupid, wait until someone complains about me trying to turn this thread about me, even though I'm not.

I'll echo the sentiments here, the KSP forums are a great, friendly and welcoming place.  Its good to have you here with us, however often you are able to actively join in.  There will always be someone willing and able to help if you have any questions too.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
