Mysterious "Page" Button

Might I inquire just what that strange new "Page" button that has replaced the imgur button in the upper right does?

All I can see is a horizontal black line.

Is any elucidation available regarding it?  I note it allows the cursor to position under the bottom-most line, but it jumps back up to attop as soon as one begins typing.

I think it's a new "horizontal line" button that got added by request. That's what it does, is make horizontal lines.

And I want to say a big, big thank you to @KasperVld for finally putting that in. I have asked repeatedly for this for a while. So, if you're looking for someone to blame for this new feature, it would be me.

It's been there for a little while. Just be advised, I've had it trash some of the formatting in my posts, when I went back later to make updates (like the completion board for the Elcano challenge).

Imgur albums still display which is odd. Doesn't the forum code read the link every time the page loads, so how is it loading fine if the code is broken?

Yep. The imgur update broke some functionality. It's planned to be fixed, but Kasper is unable to work on it right at the moment.
