No f13. help please to access new debug.

Recommended Posts

The new debug menu looks useful and fun. Me and apparently Google and Apple don't no how to access f13 and above fxx keys on the small iMac wireless keyboard?  Help from anyone a with greater sum of knowledge of those above would be appreciated.

F13 ain't a key... where do you need it for?

Btw: you toggle the debug/cheat menu with alt+F12

Thanks for not rubbing in my stupidity. Don't know what I was thinking face palm. Well I do now with my settings I need to press fn+option(alt)+F12.

Val yes I know I'm an old stand-up guy. :sticktongue:

Having more than 12 F-keys isn't common anymore. Maybe it never was.

But old keyboards with 24 F-keys were a thing.

Wow I don't think I've seen a keyboard like that in 15 years. And I've not seen one so uncovered in grime in ... well ever, probably. You can read every single letter on the home row.

I think a good idea for any Mac player of video games might be reversing the fn-f-keys.

Go to System Preferences - Keyboard and check "Use all F1, F2 etc. keys as standard function keys". This way, the system functions such as volume or brightness adjustment are done with fn+Fx and you don't need to press fn when using function keys in KSP or other programs.

BTW next to your post I replied to is an upwards facing arrow. You can press this arrow next to any answer to mark this thread's question as answered so that it is easier for people to sort out answered and unanswered questions  (only moderators and the user who asked a specific question can mark it as answered, and moderators rarely do it as someone might have more questions to post in the same thread)

Thanks wil do. Actual intended to do that but haven been bothered to fluff around in the setting. Appreciate the directions. Also it is a shared computer soooo on second thought, and a bit of recall now. I will have to explain the changes to wife and child. One extra key will be less of a bother
