Highlighting Autostruts

Recommended Posts

I have not uses autostruts that often, but I do tend to forget which parts I've autostruted if I do. I would appreciate to see something like an overlay toggle so I don't have to click on every part to see if it's struted.

That's a good tip Dafni, thanks!  I will look into that mod :)

Yes, you should, it comes highly recommended! It has some very very nice features, such as horizontal or vertical part centering hotkeys, all kinds of useful symmetries, toggle surface attachment for every part, no offset limits and much more. For me that is pretty much the only "essential" mod, i.e. when a new KSP patch comes out I always wait for this mod to update before I start to bother. Luckily Linuxgurugamer is super quick updating and maintaining his most important mods.

Thanks.  But, sorry to say, I'm not doing anything with 1.2.9, waiting for 1.3 to drop

Of course! I was not aware we are talking about 1.2.9

I´m still on 1.2.2, sorry for the confusion, should have mentioned that.

This is already an option in 1.2.2. In the F12 menu, go to "physics" I think and you can select "show autostruts"

Nice! So it's already implemented (haven't used the console menu yet, trying not to because there might be some uses in there I would be to tempted to use  )

Great mod indeed!  I've put it to use yesterday evening and continued building my new Minmus station and Mining shuttle, and although I haven't figured out all the uses of the mod, it does help out a lot already!
