T.A.R.D.I.S is meant to be a tech tree to make the stock tech tree have common sense.

 

 

Exploration:          Planetary SOI > Inner Solar System > Outer Solar System

 

Construction:        No Construction > Space Station > Base

 

Habitation:            Short Term > Long Term > Permanent

 

Propulsion:           Solid and Liquid Fuel > Ion > Nuclear

 

Power:                  Solar > Fuel Cell > Nuclear

 

Aircraft:                 Lower Atmosphere > Upper Atmosphere > SSTO

The aim of this mod is to have sensible, common sense advancement of the tech tree, designed in a way that gets you out exploring the entire solar system before you finish the tech tree. The tech tree will be separated into 3 tiers. Tier 1, designed to enable exploration of the planetary soi, tier 2 designed for exploration of the inner solar system and tier 3 for exploration of the outer solar system. A lot of work has to be done, it's gonna be a while before it's ready as I've got a lot going on right now

Now that I've had a bit of experience with ETT, and community tech tree, I really feel non are adequate and now I must wait until I finish develop this. LOL

Yes, this should be easily doable with MM code...

Solid and Liquid Fuel > Nuclear > Ion
(the NERVA was tested in the 70`s but the ion was only made in last 10y)

or considering RL progression
Liquid Fuel > Solid > Nuclear > Ion

yes but nuclear propulsion has never been used on rockets while ion engines have and it will be a long time before nuclear engines are used, as for putting liquid fuel before solids, that would involve making the tech tree more complex and would be for a later stage in development 

UPDATE: I have a category 3-4 hurricane heading my way and will be travelling in about a week, so work on this has been put on hold until I'm settled down again.

Ok so it was a category 5 and the largest, most powerful hurricane in history, it hit us with winds at 300mph, St.Martin is destroyed, we got evacuated to Martinique by my governments military, that is the french government, I should be back home tmro on the ferry
