kerbiloid
Maybe Roskosmos and NASA will fly on each other's ships. Roskosmos has no plans to disconnect the "Russian segment" of ISS, this possibility was mentioned only in case if ISS will be deorbited. https://translate.google.ru/translate?hl=ru&sl=ru&tl=en&u=www.interfax.ru%2Fworld%2F580377 Edited September 25, 2017 by kerbiloid
kerbiloid
Looks like NASA, Roskosmos, China, India, Brasilia, SAR are going to build the (near-Moon) Deep Space Gateway station since 2024-2026. https://translate.google.ru/translate?sl=ru&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=ru&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.interfax.ru%2Fworld%2F580769&edit-text=

Ultimate Steve
Currently sneaking this reply in during school... I have a math quiz in less than ten minutes. If I'm lucky, I'll be done with this in time for the launch. I hope the school doesn't block the livestream, though, as it has been known to happen. tater
Elevator music playing. Maybe it's a little upbeat for elevator music. Chris B at NSF described it as "awesome up-market furniture store elevator music"---I can live with that description.
Ultimate Steve
Darn it, the school blocks YouTube livestreams... Does anyone have a mirror?

Thanks for trying, though. Enjoy the launch! I'll still be following along on the SpaceFlightNow text updates, though.

insert_name
Is this being streamed from someone's phone camera because the quality and shaking sure looks like it

Yes, none of them work. The YouTube one shows up but it won't let me play it, but clicking on the other two buttons do not bring up a video. Also, liftoff! Although I can't see anything! tater
went to crappy animation very quickly.
Ultimate Steve
Just now, tater said: went to crappy animation very quickly. Makes you wonder when someone will make a mod for KSP RSS/RO which syncs the animation to input parameters... Methinks it would look much, much nicer than what I remember the Proton launch streams being like.

tater
It apparently was shown at a film festival with English subtitles... If it appears where I can see it, I'll go.

Are these from the same producers of "First Time" and "First in Space"? There seems to be a sudden explosion in Historical Soviet Space movies. I'd love to watch this movie, i love space movies with some dramatic seasoning. I think we are getting a bit off the tracks here.

Ultimate Steve
A Progress launch is happening in a few days. According to SFN, it will use a new rendezvous procedure that will reach the ISS in only an hour and a half, down from the six hours (Fast Track) which was already a massive improvement from the few days it used to be. We're getting closer to one orbit rendezvous like in KSP!
