Is it? I mean dont get me wrong I hope ksp becomes popular. But what happens when something is too popular?

I know what you mean I've enjoyed having KSP as my own little game but Im all for progression i just wouldn't want the bigger community to rush squad and turn it into a shooter or something that's all :)

I just wish people showing off the game would be less terrible in it. They make "game journalists" look bad. I mean neither really even showed how a "proper" rocket would fly (and get to orbit) - okay, so they were just giving it a quick spin "first impressions" but all they really showed is that they had no clue how rockets work in real life. At all.

I actually found it through GiantBomb as well, but it was before christmas. One of the guys writing their top 10's for 2011 wrote about KSP. He was just a guest writer, none of the guys who work there. He mentioned it was the game he probably played the most that year. I took a look, 5 minutes later I bought it. This is exactly the kinda game I love. A physics sandbox for me to mess around and screw up stuff in spectacular fashion.

This game is amazing :)

Moderator Note: There is a thread for discussing how players came to KSP HERE.

Usually, they start acting strangely, buy things they don't actually want, spend less time with old friends, only go out with other too-popular ones... oh, you meant for game developers? The extra attention and money ensures they are rewarded for their good work, and increases their confidence for whatever they do next.

At least it gives viewers a realistic impression of how their first few flights will go, but I agree they also need to show what can be achieved once a player has developed his skills, because it's not all crashes and burns!

Giant Bomb are really entertainers first and foremost. And what they produced was a very entertaining video. Here's everything you need to know about Giant Bomb Flight Club summed up in one video:

It gets successful and affects the player not at all.

Fantastic for Squad, good for the community (these forums are very slow at times, and not just compared to the Minecraft forums), good for everyone. Except the hipsters boohoo.
