Deploy Drill Action Group?

I recently started playing KSP again after a hiatus of over a year, and noticed a few features missing. One of them is the option to have the "Deploy Drill" option on the mining drills put in an action group so you can have it activated by pressing a key on the keyboard. Is there a way to bring this back? I have advanced tweakables turned on, his feature I quite liked is still absent. PUT IT BACK!

Yeh they don’t but some drills in mods do have it.

They can however be action grouped to start and stop.

It might be possible to mod the stock drills to give them this feature, I haven’t looked at it though.

Which version are you running? 1.3 removed the functionality somehow, but it was reinstated on 1.3.1.

If you don't mind mods, check out All Y'All. It adds this without needing or using action groups.
