[1.11.0] KTech v1.11 Weapons and Parts Extension For BDAc v1.4.0.0+

Hi I downloaded your mod today but I'm having difficulties getting it set up. Firstly when I installed the mod into my game data folder, the folder 'Parts' was empty so I copied and pasted the files back into it and launched the game. When loading it got stuck on TLcannon. When I was looking at the files it turns out a new folder was made outside of the Gamedata folder also called 'Parts' which had all the part files for the mod, so i removed this file and kept the one in Gamedata. However it got stuck on loading TLcannon. Is this a bug and can it be fixed or is it a result of me trying to use the mod on 1.12.2?

it's probably because u run 1.12.2

i had almost the exact same issue as you and it would be dope if @TheKurgan will update the mod to fit 1.12.2 since i haven't seen any other weapon mods with such aesthetics

I will try to update in the next week or so.
But I have not seen the problems listed here.
I am running it on the newest version of KSP, and except for a bug in BDA with regards to lasers, I am having no issues.
I will download the last version I posted, and check it out when I get time.

if you download it from either Github, or spacedock, open the zip, you see a "GameData" folder.
Inside that is the KTech folder.
Copy the KTech folder into your GameData folder, and it is done.
I just tried both downloads from github, and Spacedock, and both work fine... you are installing it wrong.

@Miss Atomic2512 and @petrisha

I just did this using the latest  version of KSP (clean install) and the version of KTech from SpaceDock.
It works fine, except for a bug in BDArmory with regards to the phasers (lasers)

BE SURE you are installing it and it's listed dependencies correctly.

Watch the video in the spoiler:

UPDATE: after deleting the folder mentioned above RGturret folder is the new thing that prevents the game from loading.

at this point i don't think everyone is just installing this mod the wrong way.. it's time for an update

Yeah, I would agree, if I had not gotten a guy who actually does dev on BDArmory to install KTech from the download, and it worked perfectly fine for him.
I have downloaded it from the links, and installed it into a clean install of KSP, and it worked fine...
I made a video of it working fine... Did you watch the video?

I am 100% sure, that anyone who is having issues with KTech, are doing something wrong.

Watch the video... there is no trickery, I did it all in one video, then took out the long gaps of nothingness.

It works.

Use the links I posted above to get the mods... if you are using ANY other links, I can't guarantee it will work... if you are using ANY other versions of the dependencies, it will likely not work...

My part is done here.

Hello Everybody,

so, installed this mod - and - everything looks on 1st sight good. All parts installed and visible.

I can assemble all weapons to any kind of (space)ships, but firing the waepons doesnt´t work.

The target-Hud always look/is locked to the cockpit section of any ship and in doesnt fire at all.

So, maybe, this seems to be a user mistake by myself, but i have no clue to solve this little problem.

With @Stock BDA armory plus weapons everything works fine for me.

Any suggestions/hinds for me?

OK,  problem from above solved.

for some reason i had mounted two weapon managers from BDA armory plus, when i was testing this mod.

Everything works fine, the firepower of some guns are -uh- unexpected :)
