Welcome to the forums!

I assume you're talking about symmetry. For that it's X to increase and Shift-X to decrease.

There is a full list of KSP key bindings here :D

Welcome! Me being a bit of a beginner myself I'd like to say good luck, KSP is basically rocket science, without the NASA budget, moral support, and fatalities included. KSP can be a lot of fun but it can frustrate you, carry on. That's what I learned. So hope to see you soon more on the forums

Edited to correct: left-alt-click will also copy the assembly whose root you have clicked on, if that's what you meant.

Oh, and thread moved to Gameplay Questions, since it's seeking help rather than offering it.

(I knew I'd get that wrong if I didn't actually fire up the game to check my muscle memory. Thanks, @bewing.)

Actually, I think it's LeftAlt-click that you want.

Actually, it depends on your OS. On Windows, it's LeftAlt-click. On Linux, it defaults to Meta-click iirc (which isn't even a key on most keyboards), and I have no idea what it is on MacOS.

Look up "Scott Manley" on YouTube.  Lots of great videos, but be sure to check the age of the videos- he's been doing these since it was in early development, and some things have changed. So take the older ones with a grain of salt. The basic premise hasn't changed since the beginning, though, just the details.
