are there any planet pack mods for 1.6.1?

I was looking into Kopernicus planet pack mods compatible with 1.6.1 (because mine was a fail - apparently i was using 1.4 instructions) and all the good ones were outdated (good ones: planet factory, kerbal galaxy, etc). Are there any ones you know of (or have created) that work with 1.6.1? Just wondering.

CKAN finds 12 mods with a Kopernicus dependency that are supported on KSP 1.5 or 1.6 (see the rightmost column):

RealisticAtmospheres and JoolBiomes aren't planet packs, but I believe the rest are.

This week I started a Snarkiverse save in 1.6.1. So far I haven't seen any real problems other than contract assume Minmus is still orbiting Kerbin.

Most, hopefully all planet mods that work in 1.4.x will work fine in 1.6. Anything that works in 1.3.1 or older is not promised, though. Planet Cyran, Planet Cerillion and Planet Arkas (same maker, TheWhiteGuardian) last updated in 1.2.2 and might still work, but Interstellar Adventure Revived by ProtoJeb21 is definitely broken after 1.3.0. And I can comfortably say Planet Factory and Kerbal Galaxy are also very dead.

That said, I know these work just fine:

The main issue is Kopernicus. As long as you have the latest version, as @JadeOfMaar said, all those should work.  I've just been flying around in Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul, and that definitely works. It is a fantastic one, by the way--as are all of Gameslinx's.

Thanks for all the help, but now I'm wondering if I installed them correctly.

My idea: The Kopernicus folder goes in the Gamedata folder, and so does the planet pack.

Now I'm thinking the pack goes in the Kopernicus folder somewhere?

I Installed Outer Planets but the game has an error.

Unrelated side note: Often the text of such errors contains clues that can be used to diagnose and fix the problem.

Your first idea was correct, the planet pack goes into the GameData folder as well.

Don't forget to install ModularFlightIntegrator (bundled with kopernicus) and ModuleManager (bundled but there is a newer version available) as well

No, the planet pack goes in the GameData folder as well.  Unzip the Kopernicus file, and then you will see a folder that says GameData . Inside that GameData folder will be Kopernicus, Modular Flight Integrator and Module Manager. Copy all those from the Kopenicus GameData folder to the game's GameData folder.
