Bright bolide over the Florida. Explosion over Cuba.

Just couple of hours ago a bright bolide was reported (and recorded) flying over Florida. It burst over the Cuba later, causing loud explosion, shattering windows and raining stones on the small city of Vinales (sp?). No casualties, but it looks like another near miss.

Spoiler

First Chelyabinsk. Now Cuba.

They're taking the aim into a fork.

Fork-(artillery).gif?uselang=ru

Chelyabinsk 55N 61E, Cuba 22N 79W. Average 38N 9W.

Are the ailens aiming at Gibraltar?

***

Though, Chelyabinsk and Cuba are on the opposite sides of the globe. Almost antipodes.
So, unlikely.

Let's intersect the trajectories.
The Chelyabinsk one was flying left-to-right.
This one - up-to-down.

The intersection point is somewhere in the Northern Canada.

That's where an Evil Mad Scientist has hidden and launching the bolides here and there.

I think it's simply observation bias. There are more people. There are cities, industrial operations or tourists in areas up until recently almost devoid of human presence. And almost everyone carry communication\recording device nowadays :)  When anything extraordinary happens, more often than not someone with a phone or a camera will be around to record or at least report it quickly.

Not to mention the omnipresent Russian dashboard cameras, many of which we have to thank for detailed observations of the Chelyabinsk event from all angles.

Well, they don’t come with the car, let alone a car that’s older than my parents.
