Nothing, Arizona, USA

Ironically, the population counted four souls until the mid-2000s, and Nothing now is a ghost town.

You can easily recognize the throttle from a DHC-6. de Havilland Canada used to put them in this atypical position on most of its STOL aircraft, until the DHC-7 came in.

About their height, there are different points to note: the camera lens is zoomed in, which is giving a false perception of proximity to us, and the runway has a pretty important slope, strengthening the impression of being too high while approaching 06.

Bonus picture, only because there is a marvelous Do 228 :)

Elmina East, Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia.

It's a newly-opened city near Shah Alam for sure.
