[1.12.5] Restock - Revamping KSP's art (August 28)

Recommended Posts

Hello all. I've found an issue with lights when enabling Restock and Restock+. The part itself emitted the light but there is no light showing on the parts. The problems are shown below;

These are lights problems I found.

These are stock lights after I removed Restock and Restock+.

The issue persists in KSP 1.11.0 and 1.11.1. I always installed the mod from CKAN

Here is the list of mod I installed. Not sure any of them are interfering with Restock's light or not.

Anyway, thanks for your support and this awesome mod!

Try removing SurfaceMountedLights. That affects stock lights, might need an update to handle the new restock light models in version 1.3+.

I had solved this problem. All problem was with FAR.I didn't install it correct, and my parachutes was broke.

Thank you! It works after removing the SurfaceMountedLights.

Ok I'll talk to the dev about support, might be some things we need to coordinate on, don't want an incompatibility.

The depth mask on the RV-105-A thruster block seems to think the "up-down" nozzles are angled when they're actually orthogonal:

gkkGQMs.png

Lets me see through the terrain, other parts, whatever, since there's no RCS thruster model to see through to. This is Restock 1.3.0, though I am in the new patch (1.11.1) I did observe this behaviour in 1.11.0 as well.

Good spot.

I am not entirely certain this would be a ReStock bug, but rather a KSP bug in the first place, but the landing legs behave weirdly when in contact with the ground, especially when turning up the damper settings. https://i.imgur.com/F3tgzaO.mp4

Edit: Ksp bug, tested with no mods and got the same effect ocurring

brand new 1.10 installation

Are you using Restock 1.3.0 (newest Restock version)? That version isn't compatible with KSP 1.10.x. Downgrade Restock to 1.2.1, or update KSP to 1.11.1.

Oh yes .... I was careless during installation. It's my fault, thanks for the answer and your patience.

I've heard reports of 1.875m heatshields not working; are these correct, or are they safe?

In my experience (in JNSQ, so higher velocity) the shield works fine with the Mk2 command pod, though you should be vigilant about keeping the thing pointed retrograde. In earlier versions I do remember having to keep the pod rolling to not cook it, but that issue hasn’t cropped up for me since 1.10.

I can report essentially the same.  It's almost always fine if I set SAS to Hold Retrograde, or let aerodynamic forces hold its attitude, but if I use Stability Assist and try to manually point it retrograde it will burn up.

Alright, cool, I just wanted to be sure since I heard someone say that they just straight-up didn't function as a heat shield and didn't want to lose yet another atmo probe

Restock 1.3.1

  • Fixed small linear RCS collider
  • Fixed Gigantor not being repairable
  • Fixed compatability marked for 1.10.1, it isn't, really
  • Change DXT5 textures to DXT1 where an alpha channel was unnecessary
  • Applied Restock models to new Squad revamped Mk1, Mk2 Illuminators
  • Added obese variant to small linear RCS to align with Squad's vision for the part
  • Gigantor now breaks more correctly but still badly

Restock+ 1.3.1

  • Updated French localization (vinix38)
  • Fixed compatability marked for 1.10.1, it isn't, really
  • Change DXT5 textures to DXT1 where an alpha channel was unnecessary
  • Fixed RV-1X-A thrust power
  • Fixed RV-105-A depth mask

Alright, cool, I just heard from someone that the 1.875m heatshield just outright did nothing so I wanted to be safe

This was fixed in 1.3.0.

edit - oh, apparently not. Will include it for the next release. It doesn't make the shield non functional, just slightly less protective than it used to be.

Thanks for the update! I love the snark here. Something tells me you're not 100% satisfied with the stock game's art.

What could possibly let on about that?
