How do I get promoted to something higher than "Newbie" ?

I just joined the forums, how do I get promoted higher than "Newbie" ?

Hello @A Random Kerbonaut and welcome to the KSP Forum!

All new users must have their first five posts approved by a moderator.  This measure is necessary to combat spammers.

After you have five posts approved by a moderator, you are free to edit your profile.  This will allow you to upload a picture to be used as your avatar and will also allow you to edit various fields in your profile such as your 'Member Title'.  There is default text assigned, based on the number of posts you have made, I believe.  In any case you can also edit that field to whatever you choose (within the forum rules, of course).
