Hi, I am fairly new to ksp is there any tips I should know? I only have the making history exspansion btw.

Welcome to our forum Outsoldier.

There are many, MANY tips you should know. My favorite is, test every stage of the rocket you're building in flight before you add the next stage. Avoids no end of trouble.

I don't use mods, myself, but ask your question here and some helpful person will be along shortly to answer.

Ok so I downloaded the kks delta pack and that only works with 1.7.2 but on youtube ive seen people do it 1.2.2 and i want to do it in 1.2.2 because it has more mods can anyone help me?

Those people installed the correct mod version for its KSP,  just search the 1.2.2 version in the releases

but when i go to space dock it only says 1.7.2?

Get in the Changelog tab, scroll down to reveal the older versions, find the version 4.0, it is listed to 1.2.1 but it should be right in 1.2.2

Im sort of dumb, I was telling about the SpaceX Launchers Pack mod!

Then,  look for it on GitHub, or ask in its respective thread for that mod version.

Welcome to the KSP forum @Outsoldier New here myself since the end of last year, but yea so much fun with KSP and this forum. What version of KSP did you get and from where? I am on 181 from steam and its great. Hope your having a good time starting this cool program.

@Retro Starship  thanks for the warm welcome I am on the 1.8.1 version from steam but changed it to 1.2.2.
