v1.9 Cannot adjust 2nd maneuver node on map ?

Recommended Posts

Am I the only one? Or is this a new "feature".

When adding secondary++ maneuver nodes to a flight plan I cannot adjust them using the widget in the map, I can set them up in a location as usual using RMB but can only change them using the interface Maneuver Mode panel, usually lower left corner, either numerically or using the panel widget.  It used to be the case that you could adjust them in the map, which is what I am used to doing.

I tested this in sandpit mode and tried various settings for conic patch draw mode and limit because these were the only things I could see which might have an effect but they did not change this. Can anyone advise what is going on here?

Win7 instal via steam, unmodded.

You're welcome :)

From what I did read in the last couple of days, 1.9. has a not so small number of issues, from exploding Kerbals, Unity crashes when trying to start KSP which did not happen in earlier versions (not completely true, I remember an issue people had with AMD cards), and the Mun becoming an ice skating arena, plus of course the maneuver node editing issue you mentioned, I'd think about staying with 1.8.1 and update/upgrade when at least the severe issues will be fixed.

This was entered into the bug tracker nearly two weeks ago. It's not a minor bug; it makes missions beyond the Mun pretty much unplayable.

@SQUAD, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's disappointed no action (the bug tracker status is pegged at "10%") seems to be taken to fix this. What's the point of updating Moho textures if you can't get there?

@Kerbart Well, it's not the first time we're seeing this, and so far, the 1.x.y all sorted out the issues, y= 1...5.

I know... up until now the bugs I've encountered were of the "When I do x, y happens... Well, don't do x then!" type but I have no mitigation for this one and it frustrates me a little bit.

With various space stations in orbit that have the release valve my save doesn't work in 1.8.1 - but I'll manage.
