kspnerd122
I have realised that mods are starting to be banned from modern challenges this is mainly because many of the new posters are on console and cannot get mods. the new challenges outright ban having mods installed and i feel this is wrong as a player that has not played stock in a LOOONG time. the cause of the ban CONSOLE PLAYERS. #BANTHECONSOLES
sturmhauke
I don't think it's a console vs. computer thing, I think it's more the kind of challenge desired by the challenge master. There have been stock-only challenges long before the console version was available.
kspnerd122
but consoles have essentially banned modded challenges(and players with mods from the challenges)
sturmhauke
Yeah but sending console players off to a console-only forum will tend to fragment the player base. Even if they can't do some challenges, they can still participate in other ways. Besides, most challenges don't require mods, and often completing a mods-allowed challenge without mods is seen as more prestigious (like the Shuttle Challenge series that I'm taking over, for instance). Vanamonde
There have been many challenges which disallowed mods going back long before the console versions existed. We're not banning anybody over it.
