Easier “switch to” for rendezvous?

Is there an easier way to switch to a closeby target in map mode without going to the tracking station? If two crafts are anywhere close to each other, it’s hard to get the mouse to highlight the correct target to click in Map Mode and “switch to” controlling them.

If you're within physics range, which IIRC is 2.2km, then you can switch using [ and ].  In flight, you can just press M to go to map mode and switch there.

If you don't mind mods try Targets in for those vessels nearby but not nearby enough.

Or whatever on your keyboard, but might be adjusted in settings.
