Using Texture unlimited mod

How to use Textures unlimited mod? I've downloaded it and placed it in game data folder and I also have module manager, but the mod is not loading in ksp.

It says zero mods loaded in in the loading screen and there is no difference in the game.

Textures Unlimited doesn't come with any configs for itself. It only grants other mods the ability to tweak the materials of their own or other mods/stock parts.

How do I get that shiny metallic appearance?

TU alone does nothing to the game.

You need some mods with configs for TU like SSTU. The tanks and Apollo in the pics above are from SSTU.
Here are configs for Stock parts:
