Encounter and Orbit Symbols not showing up after an Encounter with a Moon/Planet

I currently have Legacy Parts, MechJeb2, AmpYear, and Kerbal Engineer Redux and running it all on KSP 1.11.2. (No CKAN)

I haven't moved to 1.11 yet, but in earlier versions my orbital encounter symbols "randomly" stop working. (It's probably not really random but I haven't noticed a pattern yet)

Save/load sometimes corrects the issue, other times I have to quit and restart KSP. It's usually good for a few hours after a restart. The only mod we have in common is KER.

I have 2 Solutions.
a) get the trajectories mod which always shows your actual path
b) Turn up the pre-patch conics in settings to 6 (shows more of your predicted path).
