Jebediah eating glass

Both times I have sent Jebediah to Minmus, he has eaten a surface sample and has confirmed "it is not dessert" and one time he said it was crystaline. I'm assuming it's made of glass.

 

Why does Jebediah keep eating glass? What-

Glass isn’t crystalline, it’s an amorphous solid. Minmus is most likely ice tainted with copper and/or iron oxides and possibly some ammonia or methane clathrates too- decidedly not edible!

Might be amorphous ice giving the impression of glass to the untrained eye... of course it’s not though, it’s mint ice cream as we all know.

Personally I hate when there are ice crystals in my ice cream.

That is when in as been in the freezer long enough for humidity to condense and freeze there.

Taste bad too. Freezer smells get trapped in the frost....

 

But then Minmus is airless so Ice cream should keeps well without a lid.

Wonder if the volatiles in it leave a crust with better ice cream bellow....

What is the peremtion (is that a word in English?  Maybe not) Expiration date on consumption of Minmus?

 

Hum. Now I have to go to Minmus and investigate all this.

Yeah, upon zooming in a lot it doesn't look very sparkly so its definitely mint or pistachio ice cream

I've sent a base to Minmus and now I'm forcing the kerbals to eat it since they love it so much!
