Hello, I love your star system, however it is a bit laggy for me. Is there any way I might be able to lessen the texture quality? When I put it on low in settings it doesnt change any of the planets. I tried going into the files and reduce texture size but something kept going wrong

I have noticed the same issue. Have you found a fix? I've tried to haphazardly combine it with the stock config, but I have no idea if that's gonna work or not.

Hey there all. It's been a little while since I've done or said anything in regards to the mod.

I had gotten severely burnt out after working on this and let it go to avoid the burnout physically manifesting, growing tired of some of the attitudes in the KSP userbase, and last but not least in anticipation of KSP2 rendering KSP1 irrelevant. As we all know by now KSP2 is officially a bust and we're stuck what we've got.

If I can get back into the game or ride a welcoming wave of motivation after so long, I may bring myself to fix and give a minor update to the mod here as I try to rediscover and come back to the game. That being said I'm not sure if it's worth the time sink and hassle of dealing with jank. If there's still interest, let me know and perhaps that can help me out.

Fracktastic. I'm not sure if that's the forum's fault or the Discord hosting deciding to be uncooperative. That'll be annoying to replace, I think most of the images I had were deleted from my machine a while ago for space and I don't use the Discords that the images were original hosted on.

I believe discord image links in general don't work here.

Archive.org seems to have archived them, eg

Principia config (tested to 1000 years):

  • Delete wormholes
  • Reduce distance from Kerbol by 99%
  • Remove fake barycenter (should only affect UI)
  • Delete submoons (Anomal, Cassini, Russet)
  • Usir system: move Flint, Denali, and Oceanus outward, and Flint made to orbit in retrograde, to keep Maxmin and Denali stable.
  • Poseidon system: move Arkhalo and Hreveldor outward to prevent disruption of Vetinghier
  • Gyro system: apply axial tilt, move moons outward
  Reveal hidden contents

Oh hello! That's great, thank you. I'm gonna hear back on what's changed with Kopernicus since I last tinkered with it and when I find the time I'll add this to the update whenever I get around to it.

I believe the wormholes have gate in their name rather than being labeled wormhole explicitly, and the system is quite far away to the north (it's a polaris analog) , so maybe you didn't zoom out far enough? Try tabbing through all the planets, if you don't encounter anything that way maybe a dependency is installed wrong?

if anyone else is having a issue trying to get scatter to work with this, open the file SNW_planetsList.cfg (there might be 2 so make sure you open the right one) in notepad and look for the line scattererCelestialBodies. all you need to do is add a @ before it (making it @scattererCelestialBodies) and save the file. it should work right away! :)
